Lol, at Katsura; that you get free food at a diner XD. Poor Gintoki can’t go home ;_;. Gintoki and Hijikata opening the Shinsengumi’s gate was great! The Demonic Vice Chief is back to give orders! Lol at Hijikata’s uniform. The Shingengumi and the Joui rebels officially team up to save Kondo and Katsura! Hopefully this won’t be their only joint operation! OMFG, Katsura’s such a fail! He took the pill before everyone! What a throw! His dying message! “Zura ja nai, Katsura da”! “Gorilla Ja nai, Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla da”! The way they got out was completely badass! Their out of the cells! Their stuck on a damn island though! 2 chapters adapted this time (well, they did a tiny bit of the next chapter). Screenshots |

| Gotta love the way they broke out of jail. I was laughing really hard when Katsura threw that thing into his mouth making it look like he was dead. And then the rock being thrown at him to actually make it believable LOL! Really missed Katsura's badassness, so I'm glad to have him back this arc. 5/5 Episode. |

| More build up. Hijikata reuniting with the rest of the Shinsemgumi was a really nice scene. Even half dead he still corrects people. It's Katsura! Not sure how he did that with the pill but it was still hilarious to see. Dem faces at the end! Beautiful!  |

| Brilliant episode. I cried, LMAO'd and was hyped in less than a 10 min time span. Too good! The way Nobume's importance and her past is being built up is awesome. Can't wait to see it fleshed out. Sasaki's too. Lol @ Nobnob forgetting XD Loved the talk between Gin and Hijikata. Hearing how the Shoyo thing went from Gintoki's perspective was so damn emotional :*( FEEEEELZ!! Sougo respecting Hijikata's wishes and deciding to wait for him was such an amazing scene. The salutes too. Zura's speech to Kondo was amazing too. And OMG Sorachi! Until the very end Zura has to be a joke lololol I just love how that serious moment was broken by the pill part. Even in death Zura janai katsura da. And Matsudaira's "Gorilla" while playing dead were both priceless XD Speaking of Matsudaira. He looks so weird without the shades. Loved the reveal about Kokujo Island. C'mon Runaway Zura. We know u can do it lol Nxt ep looks friggin hype and the animation and art seem top notch. |

| One of the funniest episodes yet! Had me dieing at so many scenes, especially the pill going into Katsura's mouth. xD The episode also had me tear up though, Gin still dreams of what he had to do in the past. :'( Heaps hype too, Nobume, Oboro and Sasaki are such interesting characters. Can't wait for the next episode, it looks amazing! How the hell is BNP keeping the animation so nice throughout this entire arc after SA? Also, classic Sougo! xD |

Ah, the expressions... Exquisite. Katsura can't stop providing comedic relief even in such a dire situation, a commendable trait. Quite a few sentimental scenes as well, especially concerning Hijikata. Looking forward to more. |

| The damn build up almost the entire episode is intense and a bit emotional; then it was killed by the stupidity zura. I literally ROFLMFAO on that moment. An epic moment turned to a hilarious epic fail. Also, I did like the foreshadowing of Nobume and Isaburo past(manga readers know what really happened. Let's wait till that moment comes). NEXT WEEK, THE START OF THE POINT OF NO RETURN AND EVERYTHING WILL FALL DOWN. Man, I'm hyperly hyped-up! |

| I never know hearing that Shinsengumi ost can make me teared up like this, holy shit their reunion is really beautiful. And Gintoki just deliberately let Hijikata know a tiny bit of his past, that was so damn important. Train feels hit at its finest. And Zura, thank you so much for being exist, I miss him so much and god I still don't understand how does he managed being so badass and dumb and charming at the same time. AND YESSH PONYTAIL ZURA |

| Zura! Not enough words can describe how he was legendarily missed over the last arc. I am so glad he is back. One of the best characters not only in Gintama but all of anime. The chances of the rock of that size getting through the bars and inside the cage and landing on top of Zura's head is almost as same as a pill being thrown and ending up bouncing back to enter the thrower's mouth. Gintama is beyond reasoning; it's that grand. Haha! It gives me shivers of excitement thinking that Hijikata will be able to protect both things that he wants to protect. At least, he won't have to go through what Gintoki has gone through for the past 10 years. Hijikata's expression at the end of the conversation with Gintoki was priceless. |

| The soundtrack timing in this episode was amazing, bring out those osts! The pill scene hahahahaha, even if death is near Katsura will always be hilarious. Joi rebels and Shinsengumi joining up is literally the best thing ever Gintoki and Hijikata feels. Everytime Gintoki remembers that event with Shouyo it hurts my soul. Especially the "I tried to protect both, but in the end it was basically just throwing both away." I'm so happy that Hijikata doesn't have to live through what pain Gintoki had to. Kondo and Katsura's new budding alliance is great, the hype is real for the oncoming battles! Katsura in a ponytail is gorgeous, gorgeous. Nobume/Sasaki past coming up, I can't wait to see it all animated~ |
| I've never seen an anime, where you literally enjoy every single second!! Not even skipping the OP and ED fpr the 1000th time. it's just so badass bayound my dreams! Those little shines of comedy through this dark Gintama part makes them even more priceless. I've never grown to characters as much as in this series. Gintama will long live on as the best anime in history! |

| Katsura will become the Shogun and the successor to SHOGUN-KAYOO!!, I don't count that little fucka shitushitu as anything. He ain't got shit. YOO Gintoki punched him so hard that he lost memories LOL Offering his seat to the girl, I think Mimawarigumi's chief (forgot his name) will die. Lol them portraying that scenario with a literal gorilla Kondo's shouting gag scenes have returned! It's very good that we are getting these shits! Katsura's impression of the jail is typical Sorachi (fucking love that man!) As the forces have joined it's now "ShinsenJoui" (yeah I know it's shit but fuck it lel) Otae doesn't have to feel all that guilty, that shitushitu is just a shit. Fuck him. Hijikata going to the Shinsengumi, his home and wavering. Gintoki revealing a bit more about himself and supporting others as always even though he himself is struggling. Opens the fucking door and his family is standing there waiting for him *puts cigarette in his mouth, takes up the Shinsengumi coat, puts it on, tells someone to commit seppuku* HIJIKATA IS BACK MADAFAKAS. My man Matsudaira comes in! AYY nice moment but then Katsura failing and dies. Some freaking nobody trying to end Kondo but can't do shit. And thus our leader trident escape the cage but not the prison yet. Good episode. It's GinTama so every episode is good. I don't know of a single bad or average episode in this masterpiece. 4/5 And the ending again. I'll fucking talk about it as long as it's there, it's one of my most favorite ED's in all of anime. A special piece of tone with a magnificent visual. |

| Amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better adaptation, that shinsengumi fucking OST. Amazing, I can't wait for the next episodes already, for sure next episode is going to be amazing. 2 chapters in, and I can't get enough. Katsura is a bad ass as usual, love how they mix comedy and seriousness perfectly without one disturbing the other. Matsudaira's VA a BA as usual. |
| I was thinking that they would pick up the pace a bit by doing 3 chapters from the manga( Well, a bit of it of course), but then again, as long as its perfect for the athmopshere its all great. My guess then for next week then would be around 3 and a half chapter consider the impact of the upcoming action xd The thing I"m most happy happy about how the adapted this time is that they didn"t cut out the scene between Nobume and Oboro, honestly I was a little worried that they were going to do something like that again after the Shogun Arc, But now so far they haven"t cut out a single thing in the arc, I"m very pleased xd By the way, I"m I the only one here who thinks that its a little weird that Saito Shimura has been shown in every single shinsegumi group scene so far in these arcs when he was just introduced rigth before the Shogun Arc? |

| I pity the fools who think that Katsura is stupid. It should be obvious to everyone after he spit that pill out that he planned it all and faked his suspended animation. Also, Katsura is a master of throwing - he's a freaking GRENADIER who throws bombs with pinpoint accuracy for a living. And as some people have pointed out already, if Matsudaira could hit Katsura with a big rock then surely Katsura could do it with a small pill. Not to mention that he was triggered by "zura" word and revealed that he was faking it. Anyway, IMO it was one of the best episodes in the history of anime (certainly out of those anime I know), besides the things that people have already mentioned Matsudaira saying: If I can smoke just one more cigarette, I'll be allies with Yama, Gautama Buddha, or whomever else I need to. Edit: I don't want to know where he was hiding these pills though ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (before he hid them under his clothes of course) |

| Finally caught upto Gintama 2015 :D, I must say that it has exceeded any and all expectations I had. But honestly looks like Gintama has gone past the point of no return, Wonder how they'll get back to their comedic routine after such massive developments. Great episode again, That Katsura fail lol Must have been really hard for Gintoki to try protecting both his friends and Shoyo-sensei, He finally had to choose one but really glad he got Hijikata to get out of his slump by telling him that he can still do both. Gin-san ftw. That scene where the entire Shinsengumi stood saluting when Hijikata retuned, So Amazing to see, Really brings out the faith they have in their code. So hyped for the upcoming episodes. |
