| So I've finished the first season of Black Lagoon, and I liked it but I thought it was a bit dull tbh, the first 5 episodes did nothing for me, and the last 2 were anti climatic, I loved the Roberta shit though, and the episode where Rock stands up to Revy was awesome, but still just wondering if it gets any better in the second season/OVA's? |

| For me the two best stories in the entire series are the ones that begin and end the Second Barrage, the "Hansel and Gretel" and "Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise" arcs. For a change of pace, watch the omake shorts, but not until you watch the arcs I mentioned above. They're hilarious. Roberta was never one of my favorite characters, so I didn't find the OVA all that great. |

| I've finished the first season as well, and have the next season in my plan to watch. It honestly didn't live up my expectations. It had few good memorable moments but it was mostly dull. I loved the Roberta arc too, such a badass female character. |
| I adored Black Lagoon by the time I finished it. The characters work great with each other and it has the kind of action that'd make Call of Duty seem like a true-to-life war documentary. I had a blast with all of the entries. Except for Black Lagoon omake, I refuse to watch that. If comedy spinoffs are your thing though, go ahead and watch it. I felt that the best it had to offer though was in the second season. It gets better imo. The Fujiyama Gangsta Paradise arc in the second season is probably my favorite. |

| I can't take seriously a story about a flying boat destroying helicopters with torpedoes. Other than that, it was okay. Expected better, the soundtract isn't anything memorable, and it's too focused on non-sensical action to talk about interesting stuff. |

| SAO had more interesting, thought out, and coherent writing. Black Lagood was pure garbage. The only thing that was even remotely interesting or worthwhile about the show was all the times they said the word "fuck". |

| I like the first season better than the second. Although the second one was edgier and more action oriented the first one was more balanced in terms of character development. Roberta's Blood Trail though is probably the best "season". |

| Rocks character essentially gets thrown under the bus in the OVA but you wont find many ball to the wall actions anime better than Black Lagoon. The first arc of the second season is one of the darkest I've ever seen in an anime. |

| Love the hell out of it. One of the best pure action shows next to Jormungand. If it was complete and not still ongoing it would get a 10 since I loved pretty much everything about it, but the manga is still crawling along at a snail's pace so 9 it is. |

In the German dub, Revvy is voice-acted by Antje von der Ahe - combine her voice/acting with badass female charcter = I'm sold, almost no matter what. :p And yeah, that same Antje von der Ahe also voice-acted Faye Valentine (German MTV-dub). I can never have an un-biased opinion on Black Lagoon, simply because of her being involved. |

| I find the second seasons to treat more deep themes (like the child prostitution or how bloody can be a conflict between gangs) than the first season. Is still the over the top action series that you watched in the first season. One of the arcs when a bunch of different criminals were after a girl who have important information was one of the most enjoyable ones to me. |

| First of all i'll say S2 > S1 Black Lagoon is a good entertaining action anime however it is DUMB action , seriously like any hollywood action movie , the badass jumps in beats the shit out of everybody and he escapes most of the time without any single hit on him , all clean and perfect for him no psychological effect and nothing you know it is just a normal day .. ( Exceptionally the badass are all females in this anime so thats even weirder ) . BUT , it has some really great arcs some episodes are just great and they portray a good anime view on the world mafia .. also some killing scenes were very well done . for me i didn't like the characters much , they were average not bad and not great so i'll say fine . some episodes 2-4/10 some other episodes 7-9/10 If you liked Roberta's Arc ( just like me ^^ ) go watch the OVA you will like it . I think it is a good anime to pass some time Worth Watching |
| If you like that kind of stuff (action and shooting with a little bit of drama), you might like it. Personally it didn't appeal to me. And I disliked the characters. At least it's not boring, but still not my cup of tea. But there's one quote from the anime that stayed in my head: AsianRambo38 said: Rock and Revy need to get down to the business already. No they don't. :P |

| Season 1 black lagoon was very cool. Season 2 sucked. Both seasons have trash tier endings. |
