 Following the Tokyo MX broadcast of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal on Monday, it was announced that a third cours of the series, titled Death Busters-hen, is in production. The new series will cover the fifth and sixth volumes of Naoko Takeuchi's Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon manga, which depict the battle between the Sailor Guardians and a mysterious organization called the Death Busters. Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn will also make their debut appearances in the series. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal is a new anime commemorating the 20th anniversary of the franchise. It aired biweekly on Niconico from Summer 2014 and received its first television broadcast in Spring 2015. Source: Official site |

| Yayy my favorite arcs. The first two cours weren't that bad, story-wise it was almost exactly like the manga (with some updated technology, etc) and is a lot less painful than sitting through filler after filler of the original seasons. The art was pretty bad too but the only other things it lacked compared to the 90s Sailor Moon is the charm and heart. |

| I thought we won't get any news until the last DVD/BR was released in November, but wow here they are :O So according to the news the next season will cover the Infinity Arc. I suppose we get basically 12 episodes, if Toei sticks to the 1 act = 1 episode pattern. Even if only the Death Busters were mentioned there could be more episodes. If Toei decides to combine the 3rd with the 4th Arc like it happened with 1st and 2nd. I really hope Toei won't rush the release and work on this one very damn hard, because for many fans (including me) the 3rd Arc is where the whole action starts to get better. As anyone else I'm waiting for the rest of the Outer Senshi's. Would be damn nice to hear Uranus/Neptune old violin transformation OST in a remastered version and see Saturn's transformation in this one. Hoping for one episode per weekly release, 2D henshin like Chibiusa's, better Character development, more old style humor that fit into the scenes and finally useful inner Senshi's, not screaming, beaten up or kidnapped rag dolls like presented in SMC... ...Yes. I know my expectations won't be met and they will die painfully and slowly from episode to episode released with wonky animation and 3d transformations every 2 weeks. Still keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for the next season to happen. Peace. |

sigh...my favorite season too. Won't watch it, but I do realize that sooner or later I stumble on the screens or even gifs of butchered Outers henshins that used to be the most beautiful ones in the original anime. |

| Gave up on this after they completely fucked over the first story arc with ridiculous changes(What was the point of them prolonging the lives of those characters seriously?) and forced lighter tone(where are my fucking gruesome deaths, toei?!). Original adaptation was already a parody of itself and SMC managed to raise my hopes of doing Manga justice and smashing them within 10 episodes. Also more TOEI QUALITY i guess. |

It was like "Hey let's change the way the generals were treated in the manga and let them survive" (few episodes later) "Oh well, no idea what to do with the generals. Let Metalia's lazor beam kill them". The Inner Senshi's reaction and finale to that scene blew my mind too. So much about character screen time. |

From episode 14-26, the next 13 episodes, is the second season and the second arc of the series, Is called the Black Moon arc/season. Now the third season will probably also be 13 episodes and will probably be called Death Busters. MAL doesn't have it divided by seasons, because Toei announced the 2 at the same time and there was a generalized confusion about if 2nd season was just the other arc or another series after the break. |
