Title says it all.

Considering quite a few threads here, are you happy to no longer be part of that age group?

I sure as hell am.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
At least I can go see her in concert.

No. I don't like how fast the time is flying. But I was kinda stupid back then, so there are merits.
If only one could be younger but have the experience of the older self.

I dunno. I kind of miss the innocence of youth sometimes. Being blissfully unaware of how harsh the world really is, having a mind full of dreams and aspirations, actually thinking it'd be possible to get out there and change the world among other things.

Now I'm just old and jaded. Not that I'm unhappy with my life, but occasionally I think it'd be nice to forget all the real world troubles and just focus on having stupid fun as a kid. Though independence and having money is certainly enough to offset those kind of thoughts.

That's why you try and teach the younger ones so that they don't become the average teenager.

Yes. True, It does gets me closer to the end, but I'd rather mature and then have a proper ending instead of forever mucking about as my sillier teenage self.

No, I'm not. My personality was much better when I was a teenager. My health was much better too. And obviously I didn't have that much other random problems I'm having now.

Humankind might achieve immortality of some sorts (or at least life longevity) soon. I don't think we have any chance though.

Not really, I was never a teen. Between 13 and 18 I was a mass of cells with no objective of life of its own and then I turned an adult.

Or maybe I was a teen and it was just so horrible I don't remember it much. Except the bad parts.

Anyway, I like my current age and how I still look 16.

I'm still a teenager, and honestly it's pretty tits. I don't have to work, all i have to do is some simple chores every now and again, and i can do all the drugs I want without worrying about any monetary or physical backlashes.

But fuck doctors for giving me strattera instead of adderall.

It may very well still happen within our time, the only problem is actually getting the tech in our hands. Obviously no one would be foolish enough to give such treatment to everyone the way society is today, but if we become especially rich or otherwise remarkable, we might have a chance.

Better start investing already I guess .__.

Haha, that technology is far off. Do you realize how little we understand about how our body functions? ADD, an accepted medical condition, has been known about for 40 damn years, and the only thing we know about it is that it has something to do with Norepinephrine levels. That's it.

Come on, it's not that hard really. We know telomeres shorten as people age, so we should see what happens if we were to increase the telomere levels in the cells.
How little we understand now doesn't matter at all, the knowledge and technology increase faster and faster as time goes on, so I wouldn't say this is far off at all.

I doubt increasing telomere levels will extend our age by more than a few average years.

Every year I lived, I have changed as a person. I don't know if for good or bad, but it surelly was for a certain reason.

I see no reason why to go back, therefore the answer to the OP's question is "Yes".

But if it did, they would at least be on the right track.
besides, the body at large is immaterial, it is only the brain that counts, how to keep the brain cells from dying. Everything else can be replaced by steel and plastic before long.

Been my experience, that life seems to speed up more and more as I get older and older.

Shit, no wonder it felt like forever to go from 10 to 20, but it seems like I was 40 only yesterday.

I figure 50 to 60 will feel like 5 years and 60 to 70 only a handful of months, past 80 if you blink you're not gauranteed to have even seen it.

Its gone so fast though and a lot has changed since then. A lot of my friends have moved away or are in full time work so i dont see many of them as much. Plus some people in my school year are married, having kids etc. I still go out and have a good time with my friends and stuff but its not like the old days when we would go out skateboarding or just randomly hang around with nothin to worry about.

Andy Rooney (very smart person on 60 Minutes, a show that if you watch is one of the signs you're old) once said "Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes." I tend to believe this.

I try to be fairly positive about aging. Although I'm decently far removed from being a teenager, I feel better now and have a better outlook on life than I did as a teen. I look at things a lot differently, and don't take nearly as much for granted. Being able to appreciate all of the little things around me that I overlooked when younger is pretty nice. The trick is to grow up, but not to grow old, the latter of which can suck your life away at any age.

Besides, the alternative just isn't so great. Sort of goes back to the old joke:

"Who in their right mind could possibly be looking forward to being an elderly 80-year-old?"

Being a teen is fun D:

You are at just the right age to be able to drive, work (getting money pwns), and go out to places with people without having to worry about paying bills. The emotional confusion with everyone just makes things more interesting too. Everything gets so exaggerated you can't help but get caught up in social issues and situations. It can seem like a form of movie in the right mind set

Is there any particular reason you ask this on a forum full of teenagers?

Hopefully not being a teenager anymore won't mean I begin to revel in my own mediocrity.

Not that it really matters, I guess. While I'd rather not age, shit happens and I'm going to die, so whatever.
