Generally I love it, provided its pretty artifact and mistake free. The late release + low amount of seeders and the trippled datazise make it a pain in the ass to aquire.

I tried using an app to do it in real time but it has too many artifacts and it needs alot of power making my laptop run hot and loud.

is there even such thing as 60fps anime? all the ones i've seen so far is 30fps (slightly less actually)
You can buy lossless digital music from your favorite Japanese artists on https://ototoy.jp/.
The songs are all DRM-free and you can re-download your purchased albums as you wish.
Show your support to your favorite artist if you can!
ps. if you are looking for Japanese albums, you have to search it in Japanese (not romaji). Just copy and paste the name.

IIRC, Japan doesn't produce 60 fps anime, so i'm assuming you mean artificially set 60 fps? I've only watched 2 or 3 clips, don't have a solid opinion about it. But damn that Zankyou no Terror bike scene was smooth at 60 fps.

Well the main reason for not making 60fps anime is obvious, it costs a shitton of money. Japan doesnt even make real 24 fps anime, I'll be damned if they animate 12 actual distinct fps. The rest are probably just doubled frames and or interpolation.

I still dont see why 60fps isnt done in film tough. Well I do see, its because many people are being dumb dumbs and complain about it "having a soap opera effect", or "looking too fast". Yes sorry for not clarifying PriestSlayer, 60fps through the method of frame interpolation. For those who are curious about 60fps anime heres a guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/2i9bwl/guide_for_windows_here_is_how_you_can_watch_all/

Yes, It makes video 60fps which is alot smoother that normal frame rate. Here are some good examples: http://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/2i75ee/i_heard_you_guys_like_anime_in_60fps

Weird it never looked that good for me and I was using the recommended svp settings. I guess it also matters what kind of anime is used, I think I used it alot when I was watching old anime, doesnt work well with those. It looks amazing for 3D stuff tough, Knights of Sidonia was so much better with a 60fps version.

i love to use SVP http://www.svp-team.com/ more often but my dual-core AMD PC cannot handle it

i hope PC hardware can continue to be cheaper in the future or that SVP or any other fork software of it will be optimize more so that even cheap hardware can use it frequently

and yes i like 60FPS anime eventhough im fine with low FPS anime most of the times

Anime is animated at like 12fps or something. All this does is make the camera panning more smooth, which only creates an awkward contrast between the actual animation.

Uuuuh no. It's called frame interpolation. Look it up. This is why you need a beefy PC to actually render it.

Just tested the SVP. In some animes looks great while in others not so much.

I tested in 3 animes:
Fate/Stay Night UBW 2014 (Archer vs Lancer) 1080p - Looks a little better, but that's because the animations were already great to begin with.

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei ep1 and some fight moments 1080p - GREAT IMPROVEMENT! Since the original animation is not that smooth, the SVP made some real improvement and it was really nice to watch.

Chrome Shelled Regios 480p - Some moments were good, some others were bad like when we see capes shake... Maybe it was because of the low resolution.

Capes, flags in the wind generally dont look too good in my experience. Interpolation is basically calculating what the image would look like between 2 frames, which doesnt work well for spastic irregular stuff. Dances also tend to look kind of weird sometimes. Also the more frames where animated to begin with the less mistakes are made in the calculations and the less weird it looks.

Yeah, it makes a lot of mistakes in that anime.

But what I find awkward is that I downloaded this video:
Fate/Zero heavy spoilers - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tovAPayJ_Pk
And it also has some moments like wind moving and capes, and the SVP didn't screw up.

Wait, it was just me being a noob.
I didn't notice that SVP was using another profiles when I ran videos with different resolutions. I had to alter them like I did with the 1080p.

Did that and now Chrome Shelled Regios runs like a charm.

To me, 60fps anime falls under the same category as upscaling DVDs to 720p -- a desperate attempt to make anime into something it's not just to conform to "modern standards."

That motion blur is what gives live-action movies a sense of unreality and "otherworldliness." So sorry I want to see movies looking like that instead of looking like a bunch of people on a soundstage.

The 48 FPS Hobbit movies didn't look too bad though. I felt like it was way easier to follow action scenes and everything seemed a lot sharper/less blurry. Though if you aren't used to it it really takes away the "otherworldliness" a bit, I know what you mean.

As for anime, if we at least had 24fps all the time that'd be nice lol. Won't ever happen though, only if some new way of animating will be developed or anime suddenly becomes uber popular and makes tons of cash.

I'm sorry I don't know a lot about technical stuff but it's basically more frames per second right? So the effect should be smoother? I looked at the examples and especially Haruhi's scene looked really smooth. But I wouldn't be able to say there is a stunning difference.

You only need to use a player that can extract frames to see how many frames are completely identical in anime for a duration of like 0.2 sec or even longer - even for the moving sequence.
High FPS is only meaningful for full CGI graphics more likely found in games.
