....ok. I won't be watching it but good news for the fans of the show! Though this just goes to show that even if an anime averages less than 153 copies per volume, it can still get a second season depending on how well it boosted it's source material. And apparently, here it's quite a lot. Now where is my second season of Kamigami no Asobi? That game's sales were also boosted plus the anime sold reasonably well. Come on, Broccoli. |

Somehow, I'm not surprised at this, considering the pretty low score for the first season. Then again, I guess I shouldn't comment any further, since I never bothered watching the first season (And quite frankly, I have no regrets for that). So yeah, as you can tell, I ain't watchin' this. |

It's ok to show disinterest to the series but please do not bait fans of the series. Does this also go for all the sarcasm posts here? Zelot said: Also, can I get a quick summary on why this show was bad, please put it in a spoiler, I have been interested in starting this series but because of reviews and such I always skip it... Just curious why. If you could, make it a bit spoiler free ^^! How I see it... I suppose because the guys abuse the heroine, despite this being a series for girls and women and in the CDs/games the listener/player respectively has the role of the heroine from the anime. Especially the games are about dating the guys, so the heroine falls for one of the guys (and the other way around, I guess) and at some point stops to run away from them (Stockholm syndrome). Laciie said: It's bad because it's a really poor adaptation of the game and adds zero depth to the characters. In the game the characters are pretty ****ed up but at least a couple of the routes are actually done well (see: Shu and Subaru) but here all the characters do is suck Yui's blood forcefully until the 'plot' finally shows itself in the final few episodes. It's just incredibly shallow and to get anything substantial out of it it'd be best to actually play the game (but there's no patch or anything so you'd need to know Japanese and order the game). All the game really does is portray some really abusive relationships (the game had them too but I hated those routes) and make them seem so "romantic". I doubt that's the (only) reason (people were already turning their backs on this series after playing the game, after all), but weren't all characters abusive overall? Shuu and Subaru's popularity has definitely made them tone things down later (if I listen to the first series of CDs now, they're very different there) and with MB's rating I'll expect this and that not being shown, but the main idea, settings and such won't change for the second season, either, although it would indeed be awesome if they showed something in the anime similar to the atmosphere of some of the funnier CDs. 2sugoi2die said: Was selling well u mean, iirc the sequel game was badly received and sales of it took a hit. Not "was", "are". At present time and multiple games (in comparison to other otoge). I even wrote it in captial letters... Face_Faith said: Er, the games and whatnot (supposedly the CDs as well) ARE selling well not only compared to other games of their kind, but this is also the most popular series of this label, so having another season air as long as this series is popular makes very much sense. You may be talking about VC, the newest and third game of the series. It sold about half of the first week sales of the first two games which is already a number that many new Vita otome titles did not reach, despite it not being a proper sequel but a collection of mini games, side stories and such. But yes, I believe people were not quite happy with the scenario, although we'll really see things in three weeks when DF's (the next sequel) sales are out. Anyway, in reply to this and the following, Meau94 said: I'm curious as to why they made this decision since season 1 didn't sell. Does anyone know if it boosted the VN sales? here is some information about the overall sales of the games: The last number of copies from the original game I can find before the anime started airing is from the end of April (2013), that being 25.000 copies. The number went up to 28.000 until April 2014 and 33.000 in August 2014. MB (the second game) was released sometime during the anime's airtime; the first week sales were around 21.000, about two weeks later it sold 25.000 and another three weeks later around the end of November around 26.700 copies. Also note that the first week sales from the fandisk (21.000) are about the same as those of the original game (20.500). Both games were afterwards ported to the Vita, but the first one only sold a few thousand (went on sale in December 2013) and MB's Vita version and the latest game were released between the end of 2014 and the start of 2015, so I doubt that will count as an anime boost. |

So...is it alright if I treat this as a comedy? Images I saw on the first page looked hilarious and all I'm seeing is a bunch of hate for this anime. I don't really like watching reverse harems very much, but this looks pretty funny. |

I think It really portrays vampires as they should be. Just because this is a story about a girl and a guy (or several guys) doesn't necessarily means that it has to be one of those gushy shoujo mangas. To vampires humans are food; they are NOT friends, companions or lovers they look at humans they same way we look at hamburger. I like how it took a different approach to the whole vampire theme, its darker than most with out a clear outcome. however does irritate me that the "heroine" (or what ever you want to call her) does absolutely nothing to defend her self... |

Yeah in general they were all abusive with the exception of Shuu and Subaru. The latter is kind of questionable but when on his route he's not at all abusive and actually (gasp) treats her like a person! Same with Shuu except he doesn't even want to bother with her until you get further into his route (he's just very passive). The way they've grown up (all of them) has a huge influence on their character (their parents themselves were very abusive) so while it's understandable how their sense of morality is so twisted, it doesn't excuse their actions in the least. But what it DOES do is add more depth to their characters. Yui was a better heroine so to speak in the game too because you'd actually get to hear her thoughts more and such. So yeah I agree, all the guys being super abusive and the quasi-rape scenes were definitely horrible things which consequently made the anime really bad. As for MB it was really pointless. It was definitely not a good game so I can imagine the story quality going down even more (if that is even possible). However, Azusa is a dude you can add to the list of non-abusive characters because he's one of the better characters that came out from that game. |

Seriously this got a second season... Series which average below 3k usually never get a new season and even the ones that do theya re usually split cour shows which already had a second season prepared in advance... i have never seen a case like this especially in this case which did not even rank ever. So how on earth did this occur? and of all the series that could have gotten the exception to the rule to this scenario it was this ? Spice and Wolf, Deadman Wonderland, Rozen Maiden, BTTOOOOOM, Tsubasa Chronicles. D Gray man, Kino's Journey Yuyushiki Nichijou Baccano Hyouka Sora no Woto Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun Full Metal Panic Haruhi Suzumiya All of these are better off getting a new season and some of them got way higher averages than this show and yet no new season.....Someone must have sold there soul to the devil to make this possible ... because this is a first seriously |

Either Rejet is stupid to make something that is another sucking porn, or they have a lot of cash and don't what to do with it so the only way to get rid of it was to make a lousy season 2 or they're gonna make it better, I hope. Jaz look at the reviews of the season 1, a lot gave it a low score. |

Why is this even happening. Did they really gain anything from the first season? I was under the impression that most of those who enjoyed it were people who have played the game or were already familiar with it. If it's still 15 minute per episode I might watch it though :P |

Too bad they probably won't "fix" Reiji's anime character design. Nor give him a lot of screentime if the new guys will be present. And none of the new guys look interesting. I mostly watched this series on a whim since I can't play the game. Will probably end up doing the same with this too :c |

I'm so excited for this!~ I finally get to see my Mukami and Tsukinami bby's animated ;v; But seriously though, why all the hate? If you didn't like it, don't whine about the second season. If you don't like Dialovers, i can understand that, its defiantly not for everybody. But do you really have to complain so much? If you don't like it ignore it. And yes, i understand that a lot of really good shows don't get the second season they deserve. But that's no reason to spam hate :/ Just let the fans of dialovers enjoy their abusive vampire husbands >w> I literally cried tears of happiness when i saw the announcement, i never thought this would get a second season ;u; Sorry for the rant, but it just irks me that like half the comments are hate |
