Finally, time for some new series to take its place. Sadly, they axed a lot of the series with high potential lately...

I thought the creator of Naruto died during the tsunami (which is why the story, whatever there was, was going nowhere)?

It's been 6 years even since I started reading Naruto, and now it's ending... Can't believe it... Goodbye childhood.

No idea what can get resolved within only 5 chapters, it was supposed to be the ultimate battle :(

And thus the already skeletal corpse of a cow had finally been milked dry (or lack thereof). The past few arc had been subpar with two of the most underwhelming villains I've seen in anime/manga history.

Anyways, it' good that its finally ending.

It will remain a great series for me while it lasted. I have too many good childhood memories with Naruto. Sure thing it had it's ups and downs but overall it was good. Yeah, I'll miss it but glad that this is ending.

With Bleach ending, I wonder what manga industry will look like in 2 months.
Let's hope they have successors.

Exactly 700 chapters then, huh. Or will it end at 699. That would be very bleach-like.

I don't know what's currently happening in the manga but I hope the anime won't have any more fillers so it can catch up soon. Anyway it's really hard to believe that Naruto is ending.. I'll miss this-ttebayo

I feel the same. It's been a rollercoaster for sure. Some high periods and low periods but it was still entertaining. I suppose all that's left is for the anime to catch up.

Well then. A part of me is incredibly happen given how dragged out and rocky this series has become. Another part is deeply saddened because my weekly manga are shrinking and I'd started reading Naruto quite a while back. I just hope five weeks of 18-ish pages each chapter will be enough to give the series a somewhat decent close. I'll probably rage if the ending is the relatively generic
, thus making my time spent on the series feel entirely pointless.

Well, I'm not going to miss it but I do have fond memories obsessing over it when I wasn't even a real anime fan yet. All those days I used to watch it on cartoon network, how I thought Sasuke was so cool(shudder), how I thought SasuSaku was the best pairing EVER(double shudder).Ah...fond memories.

WSJ is losing one of it's legs, I hope they have done enough preparation for that, and start looking into a series' potential instead of axing any series with low weekly ranking.

On topic, every week will never be the same again. Bleach alone cannot satisfy me. T_T

Great. I used to read the manga when I was in high school. Guess now I will pick it back up and finish the damn thing haha.

Even though I didn't follow it throughout the years it is still sad to see one of the big three end.

I will probably cry my eyes out when One Piece ends, lol. ( T_T )

Hmmm, idk, can he really wrap this up in 5 chapters without it being disappointing?

I'm not a huge fan, but it's ok, interested to see how it ends. I seriously hope he doesn't go for straight up generic ending, all live happily ever after and naruto and sasuke make out.

I never watched/read any Naruto, but the fact that one of the Big Three is ending is quite the happening indeed. Now if only the One Piece manga could also end, that would be great. When you think about it these shonen anime are kinda cheesy and predictable, but I guess it's all about the fact that Naruto was part of a lot of people's childhood.

I always hoped it ended soon because I found the story dragged and not as fun as it used to be anymore, now it actually ends I'm sad T-T

From my most loved anime , to one of my most hated ones throughout the years. I will still miss it , even though I stopped at Shippuden , it just got so bad with all the fillers and drawn out fights etc. This at least gives me a chance to pick up the manga again.

I'm really curious to see how they will fare as well . They already lost Kuroko no Basket, which was a huge cash cow for them, now Naruto is going too, which was one of their base pillars. Losing two popular series in such a short period of time can't be good for the business.

Don't talk to me about character development if Kaizuka Inaho or Slaine Troyard are in your favorites.

Those who think naruto ending will save anime/manga are silly. I would have never got into anime if it wasnt for that shinobi.

Still, I wonder how everything is gonna be wrapped up in 5 weeks? I guess there's not gonna be a fight at all. I think it's still gonna be rushed though.

That's true, it certainly doesn't deserve this. It may have had some bad moments, but that doesn't ruin the whole series. There are so many stupid and awful series out there and some people just criticize Naruto. Regardless of these opinions though, Naruto's ending is definitely an important moment for the manga history.
