I'll watch Donten ni Warau and Psycho Pass S2 for sure. And will probably try some of the others. I have to admit I'm almost begging on my knees that the Donten ni Warau anime will be good, the manga is gorgeous so I hope the adaptation won't disappoint. The studio seems to be good until now so I have some hope. |

Will Watch: FSN: UBW - Easily will be anime of the season(and of the year). No questions asked. Terra Formars - What I have seen looks promising and gory enough. And actual serious shows that have nothing to do with moe slice-of-life nonsense are always welcome for me. Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu - Looks like japanized The Thing. VERY interested in this. Sanzoku no Musume Ronja - Ronja is one of literary characters I grew up with so I am VERY interested to see what Ghibli does with this. Psycho-Pass 2 - LOVED Psycho Pass so no surprise that I will watch the second one too. Will Try: Gundam: G no Reconguista - Gundam shows after 00 have been completely lack-luster. Not a fan of character designs in this(seems targeted at kids), will watch few episodes to form an opinion. Garo: Honoo no Kokuin - PVs intrigue me. IF the show lives up to it then I will most likely watch. Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo - Intriguing. Sunrise is REALLY trying to create a "second gundam" franchise will all the mecha shows every season. So far each of them failed. Let's see how this lives up to the potential. If Gundam G is pure shite, will watch this one to compensate most likely, and vice-versa. Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis - as far as commercial marketing tie-in shows go, this looks decent and seems to have nice production values. Will see from the first episode. Trinity Seven - Looks decent and the OST sounds good so far. Has a chance of being one of those awful fanservice-y shows too on the flipside, so we will see... WTF/Not sure what tothink: Nanatsu no Taizai - Some character designs look decent, some look like juvenile generic shonen genre characters. Not sure If I will even touch this, because the PVs so far have been offputting and strange. It feels like more of the same. Won't ever watch: World Trigger - Because TOEI and after the majorly messed up Sailor Moon Crystal I refuse to be fooled by these money-grubbing assholes ever again. Grisaia no Kajitsu - Talking about "moeblob school life bullshit", this seems like prime example of that nonsense. NOPE NOPE NOPE. Akatsuki no Yona - this looks nice and all, with quite a bit of wuxia feeling, but I am not trusting Pierrot to do ANYTHING right after how they handled Tokyo Ghoul. And since this is a manga adaptation again (and we know how Pierrot handles those), NOPE. I'll rather read the manga. Gundam Build Fighters Try - WHY WHY Is this still going on... |

I'd say it's cause it's just a great show no matter how you look at it if you still allow yourself to have fun. It's like a love letter to the fans of the franchise that the staff is totally committed on and clearly enjoys making. It's not at all for the stubborn tough guy serious fucking business fan type that's already decided what will suck and what will be AOTY based on trailers though. I've never really gotten that whole attitude though, must be a younger generation thing. I mean for me I'm looking forward to nothing more than the two new Gundam series, hell the rest of the season might not even exist or could completely fall apart but as long as I have Gundam to watch and it's good that'd be all that matters, but I'm not going to go and say they''ll be the objective shows of the year for all period end of discussion. I think it's impossible to enjoy and anticipate something without having to be completely obnoxious about it though. Also Sunrise has indeed been trying since the 80's to make a second Gundam series and they finally succeeded with Code Geass, they just seem to be taking their sweet time pursuing it further with the stalled OVA. |

At least normal and actually grown up gundam shows PRETENDED they are not all about mecha figurine sales... lol why are you being so dramatic about it with the whole tough guy act. You sound absolutely ridiculous. The shows just meant to be like a fun and enjoyable sports show take on the concept that's a tribute for fans and hobbyists who enjoy building the models from the series. The kits from the series are also really good and well put together I must say. Clearly you're not compatible with it though on account of the whole need to be a tough guy thing. I've long since realized that just because a show isn't all gritty and full of mature content doesn't automatically make it better. I've seen plenty of kids shows that were mindless drivel and plenty of adult shows that are also just kind of mindless drivel wearing a mature skin, it's not really a good barometer IMO, but hey that's me. |

Its 7k+ sales average seems to suggest a lot of people like it, and ontop of that its just a kids shows. So many kids shows do that kind of stuff, but you think kids have a problem with that? I doubt it. Just ignore it, its not aimed at your demographic. |

Finish 1st season of Log Horizon has just been bumped up on my anime to-do list. Madan no Ou to Vanadis is an iffy for me. I'll probably wait to see what people post in regards to how much focus t&a is given compared to the story before deciding, since I enjoy reading the manga; it helps when the main male isn't some brainless fool caught between a bunch of females falling for him for ridiculous reasons. Will try to watch the first two episodes of Akatsuki no Yona before deciding what to do, since the manga is pretty good. It's a matter of how the studio decided to use the story... I'm surprised over Kiseijuu, since it's not that recent a series. The manga is great nonetheless though, so I may watch this one as well... Now, the main problem is making time to watch these new anime, when I have a big list of series that have already aired that I need to watch/finish... |
