In middle school, people realized if they took my first initial and shortened my last name, you got a pun off the Smurfs... Except slightly different spelling. The name has just kind of stuck, so I modified it into Smurphinator for my username on pretty much everything so I'm easily recognizable to those who know me. I go by the root Smurph generally since it is what my name is based off, and since it's a full 3 syllables shorter than my full username.
