THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- *I watched this movie in the theater. The style of this chapter is quite different from the previous ones. They omitted most of the mystery part involving Kurogiri and focused mostly on Azaka's mind. I'm not sure this alteration made the movie better. At least, the story was consistent within the limited length of time, although the reason for Ouji's revenge on the classmates got weaker. The true identity of Kurogiri was not given, so the shocking end of the original novel was skipped. As a fan of the original novel, this movie was kind of unsatisfactory, but I understand the difficulty of putting all the mystery of Boukyaku Rokuon in one episode. It would be verbose. The animation was excellent as expected. I can feel the creators' deep affection for Azaka from the detailed descriptions of her behavior. The battle scene was also nice. I didn't expect the magic of fairy turned into homing missiles. Boukyaku Rokuon composed of Azaka Moe 90% + Fire vs. Fairies Battle 9% + Mystery 1% |

Is it also a 2 hour movie? What "limited length of time"? |

I didn't measure the length, but it was about one hour. To fully cover the original story, they need two hours, I guess. *Edit This website says it's 60min. All Cinema |

now why couldn't they pull another 2 hour movie... I hate it when they leave things in an unsatisfactory way ... anyway... another 4 - 6 months before DVD release? |

no decent subbers will sub a theater rip. You just have to wait for the DVD release, and as far as I can tell, there hasn't been one set for KnK 6 yet. Perhaps, it'll be set the same time KnK 7 movie release date is set |

Why does this series take forever to come out on DVD/Blu-ray (this one may)? It's like waiting for the second coming. I wonder if this awesome episode movie series would be developed into a tv series after the the 7th one (hey ghost in a shell did it just after one movie :P), i wonder. but if i t did, i'd hope for the same animators, their quality is better then top notch :D |

It's great that the DVD is coming out soon but I just don't get why it takes so long for new DVD releases to come out in Japan. If it was the US the DVD would have been released 2 months after the movie left theaters lol |

I thought I saw Rin. Takeuchi is screwing with us. This is not the Kara no Kyoukai that I know of. They've put too much effort on Azaka-love, leaving the story out in the cold. |

This movie was good, the music and animation was excellent as always but why the end was skipped ? I wanted to see this scene... Oh, and I liked the easter egg with Seo Shizume and her dog |

Woo, finally, great watch, the plot was really interesting, and the art and music were stunning as always. Azaka's pure love and her interactions with Shiki are just great. Loved her reaction when she passed out for the first time. :D And lol at young Azaka looking like Rin. Caught me completely off-guard. :P |

Haha yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought young Azaka looks like Tohsaka Rin. It looks EXACTLY like Rin, damn The end was interesting, probably some kind of preview for ep 7. The guy's name is probably "Sora" "How regrettable, one letter away from tiger", and tiger is tora |

I loved it, a little less of "Shiki focus" then I would have preferred but all in all a solid episode. The wait in between releases is killer but I hope that they can fill the gap by "quick" releasing Kara no Kyoukai Remix -Gate of seventh heaven- on DVD before the 7th movie release. It was in theaters this past March but probably wouldn't be released for at least another year seeing as how the 6th movie aired in December of 2008 >.> Even though Remix is a recap movie it takes all of the key concepts of Kara no Kyoukai and puts them in order with a few new scenes. It places the chain of events in order starting with the 2nd movie, followed by the 4th, 3rd, 1st, 5th and 6th. I think it would be great to see it to build up to the final movie. |

While i liked it, it was noticeable worse than the previous ones in my opinion. A lot of this is due to the lesser focus on Shiki, a much more interesting and developed character than the sister with a brother complex. Coming after paradox spiral it was a letdown, but it is still my favorite anime series (of movies) probably. |
