Nureha, Nureha, Nureha...... Have yet to read the LN, and from just this meager 5 minute appearance I'm already in love with this character! It was so bad that NHK censored so much stuff, I would have loved to see a fully unedited version of her sob story being played out in full. Would have given this anime a bit more of an Oomph, don't you think? That said, I'm plenty excited how things have panned out. and the fact that they ended with the announcement that Season 2 is on the way THIS YEAR was an added bonus. I sure hope that Kanami makes it back to Japan in the next few LNs, then we might get to see her interact with the other Tea Party members in S2. Marves (Ryuuk) got his arse handed to him splendidly! I loved how the Round Table members all bullied him into submission. The deal with Nureha set up the sequel plenty nicely, and hopefully next time around we get to see more of the adventuring, questing and fighting portions (since Shiroe is dragging Log Horizon out of town, I'm totally expecting it.) Then that revelation near the end that Shiroe had found a possibility to get back to their old world, that totally popped out of nowhere! Not even the viewers had an inkling about that! All in all I'm plenty satisfied, but at the same time I wish Season 2 was out already. Thank god there are a few Summer animes coming out to fill in this space, albiet temporarily. Nothing beats Log Horizon, nothing! |

Well that Malves and his escorts were booted out quick That creepy smile of Shiroe at the end looked like it was coming from "Madoka" The scenes of Nureha and Shiroe were great it added a lot of mystery to it Too bad the gorgeous battles were only shown at the end Hurray for a second season coming this fall! |

I really enjoyed the most of the season. I just felt it was a little weak in the middle of the season with too much screentime given to the noob gang. I really appreciate the fact that they include elements of politics in the show which gives it another layer of depth over your typical action shounen. Looking forward to the next season. |

Meh, that was a bit underwhelming. Log horizon was pretty good for what it was but a lot of it *cough cough* Shiore X Akatsuki/Minori felt way to forced in a way that I just didn't like at all. That fox girl at the end look pretty cute and probably the only female I liked looks wise in that whole show honestly. My main problem with the series was Shiroe because of his personality which kinda reminds me of myself in some ways. Pretty much this show boiled down to "Log Horizon" derpping around for no real reason only to have every other girl they meet just fall head over heals in love with Shiroe despite him being a complete bastard most of the time. Idk, I didn't hate it, in fact I enjoyed it, but something just didn't sit well with. The ending made me quickly think back through the show and I can quickly pick out quite a few things that just irritated me...oh...and that same old slap stick humor that they have been using the whole show. It wasn't funny the first time and it just got more annoying each time. OK, I just figured it out what never sat well with me this whole show. Shiroe is pretty much like some sort of Light (Kira) or Lelouch but was way less grand/epic and had no real sense of direction. He was always sitting on the fence and he can't really seem to figure out who or what he is. That was the whole problem with the show, everything felt like it was pointless 1 way or another. We saved a little girl, YAY! We have burgers that taste normal, YAY! I bought a building, created a round table and forced people to do as I say, YAY! We brought the city to life, YAY! We went to meet with these People of the Land and got nowhere except a princess, YAY! I made a new super spell that can turn any People of the Land into "Adventurers", YAY! See my point yet? Why did they do all of that? It was 1 weak reason after another that just lead to an eventual cliff hanger "season 2 in fall" moment. |

Well, S2 makes up for a rather anti-climactic ending episode. The series was pretty good when it started out and during the ending, the "only" problem was the middle section of about 12-14 episodes where it just went about talking politics stuff. I wish someone would do justice to the trapped in the virtual reality thing, this was mediocre for the most part. Akatsuki was probably the only reason I finished it. 5/10. |

A huge plot character has joined the overall picture :3 and it seems he's really heading the harem way hehehe :p Well this sure was an interesting last episode for the first season and as thought it was way too open but it's good that a second season is announced already and I'm sure looking forward for it! The bon festival definitely was a nice touch to finish up the festival but a whole lot of story has yet to be told. I must say that I rather liked it yet expected a bit more in the actual development and revealing on how they got trapped in the first place but hopefully we'll see that in the second season or so. One thing is sure that this is quite a good anime, with some lovely characters, great development and some quite lovely action combined with some comedy! All by all a very good anime! 8/10 |

We know that Mamare (the author) loves to fill his stories with politics and economics hence that it was too rare and cannot find it in any anime which base on MMO.The best example was done in his previous anime on MaouYuu. It's pretty much the hook for Log Horizon and what sets it apart from other MMO based fantasies like/hack and SAO. Still its sad when people hand wave politics. Its a great subject and an active citizenry is what guards the republic from authoritarianism. People who don't try to understand it really don't have any reason to complain about current events. |

"OP" characters do exist, however in the majority of cases it is less based off of itemization and more so due to their individual game knowledge and creativity. What I mean by the flow is referring to the perspective of the eye of Log Horizon member not the eye of yourself. It is like saying that "It should'nt be like that, it should be like this yadda yadda yadda bla bla bla" which mean that you read the flow instead of thinking like "what Shiroe and the gang will do next and what kind of strategy will he use that will amuse us" referring that you become the flow. We have burgers that taste normal YAY!" that was the first arc of the anime and it's point is to shows how players are adapt to the world. because now they are living in DATABASE. no way out and still no idea how they got in here. it's not like in SAO where u know exactly how people got in the game and then once you know u are trapped the game creator pop up and tell everyone how to get out of SAO. SAO players has their goal set since start point is to beat the game and get the hell out of there. While Elder Tale players has no slightly idea how they got in the game(because it's normal PC game not VR game,DUH), not to mention finding the way out. it''s completely hopeless. so what can they do? living eats sleep. now it's where the problems come. some people chose to live their fantasy be an overlord not caring about old world (Demikus?), some cry and sleep on a street , some step up and do something(Shiroe is the best example here). there are even some people that has better life here (Nureha, Touya). problem is people like Demikus cause other people a problem. u know why they have to save Serara and why Demikus want her so bad? in the anime might not point it out so obvious, some people might wonder why Demikus want low level healer while they forget the simple fact why men want women. it's sexual harassment. Demikus tried to make Serara his Sex Slave. that's first "point" of the anime. the world with no rule come with chaos. second step u eat! now what. foods taste like shit. now u have to live in the world that u cant "die" and u have to eat foods that taste like shit for next 1000 years or maybe forever. food with good taste could change many things not to mention that the cooking method lead to creation of world class magic in the future. see the points here? no? u are too hopeless then. bye fix my grammar if u want. i will be glad. |

I am sad that it took me all 25 episodes to figure out that this series is not my cup of tea. With a protagonist that is supposed to be a genius strategist, too much time was spent on trivial shit like indirect romance. It had a great start and even though I realized it was moving away from what it started out to be, I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I believe it is purely for 8-14 year olds. |

Wait, wait Can someone who's reading the LN tell me if Shiroe and Akatsuki became/ or will become canon? It's cause this show was getting pretty 'shippy' in the last few episodes and since there's a new season (praise the otaku fandom) I seriously need to know who the hell is officially canon with Shiroe? Minori or Akatsuki? And I found how a high schooler cock blocking Akatsuki whom is the same age as Shiroe kinda pointless. It sort of urks me to ask WHYY!? Why is that even needed? Wouldn't it have been better if Minori stepped up and only admired him. Bah Whatever. May a good soul reply back to me. 9/10 |

Can't say that I really enjoyed this series. For an anime to be set in a game world I sort of expected more action, questing, boss fights etc. Rather than the players building their own society. Also, I really want to know why they are stuck in this game, which we have yet to know. Characters definitely had their own personalities shown, but lacked development in my opinion. I give this series a 6.5/10 |

9/10 for the detailed adaptation (which rarely happen nowadays) since I already loved the original light novel story. Whole shows really did it best to make me grow attached to Log Horizon world, and it actually explained few things that I've missed from the ln, instead of mega rushing the story. Probably the best light novel adapted anime that I ever watched. |

It would be nice to occasionally show people being worried about where exactly they are. They know it's not a game, because they didn't use VR, but thats basically all. It's not about them *getting* back or even the struggle, it's just that currently there is no real point in the MMO part. It does try to do away with questions like "what was before the adventures showed up" or "why was there no actual government" etc. Especially the first question still applies: The People of the Land must at least think they have a history of hundreds if not thousand years. A history that explains why they had no goverment of any kind at the time the adventures showed up. Neither king nor council or anything. It is easily explained how things came to be like they are when the world was created as an image of Elder Tale the moment they appeared, but what do the People of the Land actually think they were doing the year before at the time of the festival? Except for such things i totally love Log Horizon. Shiro getting rid of Malves not because he is causing trouble to the city etc., but simply because he isn't letting the princess go. What did they actually need her for anyways? Only to put her on that bench? |

A history that explains why they had no goverment of any kind at the time the adventures showed up. Neither king nor council or anything. They did sort of go into this during episode 14, in the distant past there were various kingdoms in the world, including the Alv kingdom. Because of the rest of the world being jealous the Alv Kingdom was destroyed, at that time 6 Alv women swore revenge, some of whom gained power by marrying "those who had power" (i.e. Lords and Kings), starting a cycle of wars, at the end they cast the first "world fracture" which created the Demi-humans. From there the demi humans began to attack the People of the Land, nearly destroying all of humanity (including most governments) until the second world fracture was cast, summoning forth the adventurers. From that time on the people of the land settled into the various forms of government that currently exist. The 3rd World Fracture is what caused the adventurers to see the world as reality instead of a game, so now for the first time they are noticing the various governments, but that doesn't mean that they weren't there before. NwAurion said: It is easily explained how things came to be like they are when the world was created as an image of Elder Tale the moment they appeared, but what do the People of the Land actually think they were doing the year before at the time of the festival? Living in a very rigid feudal society, where there were a small group of nobles on top, and a large number of ignorant serfs supporting them. They brought this up in episode 18 when the Princess was stunned at how educated the Adventurers were. NwAurion said: What did they actually need her for anyways? Only to put her on that bench? For the moment yes. Shiroe has a bigger plan. As exposed in Episode 10 and 25, Shiroe realizes that the People of the Land do have a point to play and he is going to need allies against the adventurers and their allies in west Japan. Though they haven't shown any yet, it has certainly been implied that there are POL who are higher than a 90 ranking, so they POL though low ranking for the most part now, do have the potential to rise up. For this he wants the Princess well disposed to most of the adventures, with him serving as the depository for any negative feelings she may have. He also wants the adventurers to start thinking of the POL as people, so she is also serving as a propaganda to get their sympathy on her side. |

Now I know why there were no people trying to get home or trying to remember it after watching another anime like No Game No Life anime today. It was because they are enjoying what they have and a bit current challenge will deviate them from bringing the matter of the old world. Sora said that "Usually, in a story, when the protagonists end up in another world, they try their best to find a way home, right? Why would they try to go back to a world like that?" "I think so to..." said Shiro "then it's decided" Sora respond it back PS: It was once of many answer but someone may not disagree with me but I accept that with reasonable answer :) |

Same thing I've tried telling to the people demerit the show just because: -They're not trying to "go home" -They don't show the "Real world" And all of them failed to reply to my questions.. >_> ELDER TALES is Fuckin beautiful. I wouldn't want to try to get out if it was me. REAL LIFE is the shitiest game. |

I believe it is purely for 8-14 year olds. What will you do if I say that the romance only appears in one volume, which is only 3 episodes in the whole anime, including the next season 2. Do people really need a spoiler to stay interested? And Why do you think that the story can't change directions again? I will be very interested if that was the case. I absolutely loved the first 6 or so episodes until they came in contact with that friendly guild with Miss Blonde Boobies as the guild leader. If there is one thing that is a huge turn off for me, it is fan service. From that point onwards the fan service seemed to have become the main focus and the witty strategist took a backseat. There were a lot of politics involved, but I did not care for half of it as it did not seem compelling. Right now I gave the anime a 6/10 rating as there were several characters with significant screen time that annoyed me. |

Aww yeeeah I was so happy when Shiroe slapped that... fox-girl thing? A bit disappointed that there's beginnings of a Harem for Shiroe. They just aren't my thing. Neither is 14 year olds going for college students. Well, I hope they get over this nonsense next Season. My favourite parts of Log Horizon was the strategy, and pretty much all of Shiroe's badass moments. Hope there's more of that to come next Season! Can't wait till Season 2! |

The fact that your avatar is Keima makes your statement so perfect XD Indeed... Most of the people always focus on a means of "escape" to the real world. But looking at their situation, what they are experiencing is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Why they want to escape such a world puzzles me. They may have a family and loved ones that are left behind and such but there is one thing that some might have forgotten to ask throughout the whole series... and that is, why is it that not all the players of the game got transported into the world of Elder Tales? That might actually answer the question as to why no one is dead set on trying to get back to the real world. Maybe all the players who are transported in the world of Elder Tales have a situation wherein they would rather stay in the world of Elder Tales than in the real world. An example of which is Minori and Tohya. From the flashback some episodes ago, we can see that Tohya(in a wheel chair) can't even walk in real life and with his life in the world of ET, he is now able to walk. Almost everyone had a purpose in the world of Elder Tales. They were able to do everything they wanted. Some opened shops and started doing what they wanted to do. They weren't tied down to having to work to "survive" and they practically "lived" in the world of Elder Tale (It's like an example of an ideal society, no racial discrimination, no stereotypes, freedom, activeness[the absence of NEETs and Hikis since they no longer needed to escape reality because their current reality is already their fantasy], a set of laws that were beneficial to everyone, THE PERFECT WORLD). |

Great.. This was so great anime At least I enjoyed this so much (Especially that devilish smile or Loli ninja xD) Now I know that inside a MMORPG there are not only just quests/battles There's also politics xD After 25 episodes.. I think, maybe Log Horizon's motto was like this : "Reality can go to hel*. We could life inside the game so... Like I care about real world" Peace Peace ^^V Season 2 OP & ED... If both of them are the same as season 1 I would gladly accept it xD |

This anime dragged way too much in the first 10 episodes that I actually marathoned Golden Time and Hellsing Ultimate in the middle of it. Almost dropped it but Shiki taught me to have patience. I really wanted to find out why it was rated so highly. Meh, Crusty and Lenessia's interactions saved it for me. Otherwise, it wasn't that impressive. The choice of ending episodes were also terribly selected. Seeing slice-of-life episodes just before the finale was somewhat disconcerting. The lame noble was the last big thing? What of the goblin King? First time in a long time that I finished an anime just for the sake of finishing so I could add to my watched list on ANN. Oh well, 7/10 because I was able to finish it and because Crusty and Lenessia = win. I don't get the older guy/teenage girl thing though. I guess the teenagers behaved mature... |

Awesome anime. Love it quite a lot. I only rated it 9/10 because I was really interested on how and why they got stuck in the game. Unfortunately that was not told in this season so maybe the next one will clear this fact too. Can't wait for it! I also want to see them meet up irl. |
