Damn, dat catcher.

Episode was okay I guess. Lol, watching Eijun's failed play was kinda amusing. Stealing bases can be fun tbh, well if done right of course.

Eijun is kinda getting on my nerves for not being much of a use to the team, hopefully he will make his vicious pitches next episode without fail.

Sawamura hasn't done anything yet that is helping the team. Hopefully he can be productive.

I thought Chris's yell was pretty bad voice acting at first and then I was like, "Oh wait, Chris never yells." Hahaha

Too bad he hurt his shoulder. He probably had a really promising future. He's a good dude.

Episode went by too fast!

This is why I've been putting out a disclaimer since ep 1. Eijun wont be contributing much to the team anytime soon. His build up will come slowly and gradually. He's more or less a total noob. And he's not some super OP genius pitcher who learns killer pitches 2 weeks in. People are expecting too much of him.

This is one of those rare mangas/animes where the main is as normal as it gets aside from a glimpse of potential. I fear that many will drop the series because of this. But it's good. It's real good. Just don't expect much from the MC at this point in time.

Hoping for Sawamura to tear the house down in the next episode! Hopefully he strikes out Zaizen. Dude seems like a jerk.

It's true that Sawamura hasn't done anything yet for the team but I think it's better this way, instead of some useless power up and hidden skills that come from nowhere.

Next episode is going to be a really good one. We'll finally see in practice the real potential of Sawamura.

The problem with this is that the anime isn't likely to be a long running series. So all the episodes will just show how useless he is to the team and whoever wants to see whether or not he actually contributes will have to read the manga.

Well, judging by the opening, the anime will probably at least reach the final of the summer qualifier for Koshien. It's till vol.22; atm we're in the first half of vol.5... that's at the very least 52 eps, hopefully more. And during the games of the qualifier, there'll be times where Sawamura does contribute to the team and develops nicely.

he's talking about the fact that sales and popularity might not reach the amount needed to continue producing new seasons even if the material is available.

I always like the cute humor with Eijun. He's like totally play and nothing else. Anime anime...

Not a bad episode. Too much screaming and laughing haha and Chris being badass.
Miyuki's face when he was in the bull pen with Chris and Eijun was pretty funny XD
"Enough with your stupid laugh." LOL Chris XD
But yeah, Eijun's a lil too hyper. He laughs too much. I'm worried about his seiyuu :3
And man, Zaizen's evil O_O but wait for the other coaches in the future. They're evil too.
Can't wait for the next episode. Finish off Zaizen, Eijun! :D

Seiyuu's being pretty hard work this time. LOL.

I don't think sales will have anything to do with it. The anime will probably be sold as boxset instead of volumes just like HxH and I don't think HxH sales was high either.

As the animation is not spectacular or anything, I'd say the collaboration between Madhouse x I.G Port was to support its long airing time.

This anime doesen't even get sold, so sales are completely irrelevant.

Aside from that, its not possible to know whether it'll be a long runner or not at this point. Its in a morning time-slot, so its atleast in the right timeslot.

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

Well that's the point isn't it? The MC isn't a superhuman who becomes a monster pitcher after practicing a couple towel throws.

Like people said, it's more realistic this way which is a good change in the usual. I have to admit, it's pretty funny to watch Eijun mess up though.

No kidding. When Chris asked Miyuki to come into the bullpen to see something interesting even Miyuki was completely shocked. It's like he was looking at a whole new Eijun than when he first caught for him.
I now want to see what Miyuki will add to Eijun skillset to help him build up to be a strong pitcher. Chris did a lot of work already and will still have his influence.
What if the Hokey Pokey is what it is all about?

Amazing to hear Chris yell there as he's usually quiet. Still saddens me to think Chris plans to make this his final match in Highschool just after he finally plays as catcher again. I hope he together with Eijun manages to defeat Zaizen with his evil smirk.
