I didn't expect much from this, and so far, this is going even worse than expected. I think I'll just turn off my brain and enjoy the show. It was still enjoyable tbh. Kurumi was cute too. And the show still have a chance to fix its warped logic in the second episode. |

| Kinda expected more in the animation department based on the PV :( First half was a mess with MC's lack of reaction, may the adaptation isn't good but otherwisw.... BAMBOO IS MIGHTIER THAN A GIANT BLADE! You learn something new from anime every day XD |

| Show was interesting enough. Action scenes were pretty cool but I was totally intrigued not by the plot premise but the fact nano is singing the ED(she always makes good songs and I love them all). Is that a bad thing lol? ED should've been the OP cuz that sucked. |

| Scrawny toothpick girl with a gun, boy who can block a real sword with a wooden one, the idiot(?) character who couldn't even notice his hand was on fire and the girl who can change her boob size. This will be fun, especially the girl who can change her bust. At least the fight scene between the MC and the other guy wasn't bad. |

I'll not say that was not fun to watch this, but damn, i was expecting more from you Madhouse =/ The history was rushed (3 characters we don't know have magic powers now, like insta-magic), and the char design was pretty inconsistent =/ OP sucks, but the ED...oh.my.god. | Liked the sword fight, although it was more generic than I thought. Oh well, I am loving their characters so far... I think we will get to see some rejection from their powers, especially the Isoshima girl. Anyways, will watch for more. Let's see how far they can go. |

| The art's pretty bad compared to the light novel. BTW, they skipped a lot of the original material, at least an entire chapter. I think they also changed a good number of things as well.I have a bad feeling this is going to be one hell of a train wreck due to all the rushing. OP also ridiculously bad. |

| They freaking rushed the show, that's why there's so many plot holes. They more or less reduced the entirity of volume one down to one single episode.Ioshima and the other guy didn't get attacked in the novel until later that day. |

| A decent first episode. Of course, there's lot of things need to be explain, the first episode won't explain everything so I just went on with the ride. Will watch a few more to see how this goes. |
| Main girl's character design: poor man's Shana. Plot: poor man's every other action anime out there. The boob enhancement was... stupid, but I would probably subconsciously do the same thing if I had transformation magic. |

So if the bees guy got punished for turning the blonde chick and the other chick feinted for awakening the fire dude, then why didn't Mui get punished? Was Takeshi already a mage before they met? |

Bees guy got punished for using magic against another magician (Mui) and turned blonde chick into a magician (while also injuring her.) Seeing as they had to remind each other not to use magic directly against Mui, I'm thinking they don't spend a lot of time in the "living world." Bees guy lost his cool and thus lost his powers when he injured Mui. We can't be sure what happened with the fire dude. It's possible that she attacked him twice. Maybe he knocked her out after she attacked him but didn't want to admit it to the obviously agitated guy holding the big cleaver. |

| The whole bamboo vs. steel thing is a bit exaggerated, but not as much as people are making it out to be. Shinai are not sticks of bamboo but rather multiple slats of bamboo--this makes them flexible. Flexible things do not break easily, the short explanation being physics. It's why the metacarpals in our hands are harder to break than concrete, it's why steel is harder to break than iron, it's why you want large bridges to have just a bit of sway to them. In the end, steel beats bamboo (as we saw when cleaver guy managed to land a heavy blow on the bamboo sword) but it isn't an immediate, one-hit sort of thing. |
| Transformation magic = awesome. I thought I saw Shana with a gun a there for a second. So far so good. Not that highly enticing though. Those bamboo swords are tough. I want those too. |
