Okay. So, things are much better this episode. It always helps to be reminded that there are worse guys than Yamato. Hehe. Plus, like Mei said, everyone has scars. What I DO like about Yamato is how it seems like he realizes that he made mistakes, he's sorry for them but he doesn't have a pity party, instead, he's resolved to be better. Das ist gut. Speaking of pity parties, I like how they wrapped up Aiko's real quick like. Nice.

I didn't like that Yamato gave Mei a bracelet. It just felt weird that a guy would do that. No matter how nice he is. Maybe as a gift though. But not wearing the same bracelet. Then again i don't know if that's normal in japan or not.

I started liking Mei more after this episode!

This anime gets cuter a little more each episode <3

I did not like how Mei was nice to that girl, it seems common in a lot of anime. That whole "kill them with kindness" or something, but still it was nice. I just wish that girl wasn't such a bitch about it though.

Ah, so many cute things in this episode: Mei protecting Yamato's bracelet, Yamato's comments about Mei on their date with Hayakawa, & Mei saying she loved Yamato's scar ;-;

A lovely episode.
From the begining I knew the only reason Aiko behaved the way she did with Mei was because she thought Mei didn´t take Yamato´s feelings as seriously as she did, and this episode confirmed it.
It was hard for Aiko to be cheated on, and when Yamato helped her, his kindness was too much for her to fully understand it, makin her want to become someone worthy of it. Is good that she saw just how much Yamato means to Mei, that gave her the chance to let go on her pursuing, even if that doesn´t mean that she´s stopped loving him.

I hope that Hayakawa finds a chance to change his ways later on the story.

This episode was better than the previous one. I liked how Mei was able to stand on her feet when Aiko was insulting her to Kakeru; Another heroine, in another shoujo, would have probably run away crying. Also, I liked how Mei treated Kakeru when he started telling her such things.

And within this episode, I started to dislike Yamato less. I thought his actions were quite sweet.

Best thing about this anime is definitely that it really resembles reality, where for sure around 70% of teens are sleeping with whoever, cheating and talking shit rumours everywhere. It's not colorful like every shoujo, which is kinda a nice change sometimes.
Anyway, about episode, Hayakawa is loser.Im fking glad Yamato hit him, and then scene with Aiko.Ehh, Mei, why you so awesome.

4/5 but now what.

that douchebag is just a really disgusting pig -___-"

and that girl he made plans to sleep with, but who already had a boyfriend, damn... bunch of sex-crazed filthy animals

that scene at the restaurant was also pretty despicable, but HELL YEAH!!!

yamato, for me, REALLY redeemed himself this episode!
everything from punching the lights out of the douchebag to telling mei that his love is true... i can definitely overlook my thoughts on him from the previous episodes

and mei, YOU GO GIRL! i love that she was able to stand up for herself and even stand up for aiko, despite being such a horrible person to her

and as for aiko, thank goodness her antagonist mode looks like it'll calm down now

Seriously... it's like most of the girls in this anime are sluts who sleep around with other guys even though they have boyfriends. And the guys are just players who sleep around. Though this is just my take on things so far...

On another note, it's great to see Mei standing up for Aiko and even rejecting Hayakawa's advances. So it looks like Yamato slept with Aiko to help her... but I feel it's just wrong.
I mainly see the animes... so don't blame me for not knowing about the Manga/LN

I've found that shoujos are much more realistic about sexual activity amongst high-schoolers than the shounens (no fellows--harem comedies bear no resemblence to real life (unfortunately)). Relevant statistics for our country are that by the time they graduate high school 65 to 70% are sexually active (and for those of you upset about the sleeping around--29% of 15 to 17 year olds reported having multiple partners in the previous year). Since my home country is not Japan I can't vouch for whether these stats translate accurately, but based on my admittedly biased survey of Japanese culture, I'd be surprised if they didn't.
I agree but there not only more realistic about sexual activity but the characters are also more realistic especially the girls.
In shounen the girls are often portrayed as cute kind and they would not hurt a fly or there the typical tsundere character they also hang around the main character or his group most of the time and have little to none interaction with other girls around them.
Which simply as far from reality as it possible could be.

'Shoujos' hardly has realistic boys. The cliché plot of the interesting handsome delinquent or playboy turning out to not be a sociopath but instead nice and sweet is good example.

3.5/5 because I'm being a bit generous.

+ Nicely ended, with Mei comparing Yamato, Aiko and herself
+ Mei's personality kicks ass (y)
+ We see that Aiko is slightly changing her view on Mei
+ Cliche but not bad

- All the background characters from their school are all gossiping meanies >:/
- I hate how this anime depicts this image where the loner, quiet, different girl will get the "sexy", popular guy. It doesn't happen a lot IRL to be honest
- All the male characters so far are all uninteresting and brainless
- All the female characters minus Mei are either dumb as a brick or manipulative and mean
- I didn't like the kissing hand scene

Now, visual problems I have. They usually don't bother me too much but yeah, just pointing it out.
- Everyone is skinny as a stick
- Yamato and Mei's hairstyles are bugging me
- Most of the male characters look like scumbags, including Yamato

I've found that shoujos are much more realistic about sexual activity amongst high-schoolers than the shounens.

That's pretty strange because when I compare my high school to Sukitte Iinayo's, we're completely different. I come from an American, 99% Asian high school, because the neighborhood has mostly Asians - Chinese mostly.
Barely anyone dates, or f*cks around with others. In my school, people are proud of getting a high average, not being able to have sex with the most people. LOLOL

Yamato's punch was cool. He acted like a "man" who honour his precious girl. That episode was super. At its start it was weird, but from the moment Mei deletes the number of that jerk the whole scene changed. Great episode and so far looks like a great anime

It's kind of strange that almost every girl there fucks around like it's nothing. I mean, in other animes almost everyone is really pure and even a kiss is something really, really special that most of the girls didn't have yet or so which is also very exaggerated but honestly, almost every girl introduced to us seems like a real slut except for Mei and Asami and maybe the classmates that were asked where Mei is.

But really, every other girl seems like going straight at it, going at love hotels, having one night stands or the other girl who does it with this Hayekawa guy from time to time was introduced having a boyfriend.. seriously, what's wrong with all of them? xD

okay that guy was a serious d**k but it was nice to see Mei just delete his number and walk off, and to get a punch from Yamato was a bonus, it also showed to me that he was more serious than what i thought, sometimes it felt like she was more of a project? Like he was just trying to get her to not be shy and make friends...

I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about this series yet...

I have liked watching Mei transform (though I still don't know if I really like her,) but Yamato is a pretty flat and boring character so far. Their relationship is odd, stilted and unrealistic. I like Asami, I guess, but she's pretty much barely background noise now. Almost every character other than the leads are one-dimensional jerks.

Also, this episode was pretty meh. We'll see how long this can hold my attention.

I laughed so fucking hard when both Mei and Yamato told that guy to get the fuck off in their own way. Mei just deleting his entry in her phone and saying she doesn't need friends like him was priceless :D
I also liked how she stood up for herself both against Aiko and that disgusting guy (I would have ripped his balls off for touching and pushing over Mei like that).
The ending with the hand kissing was cute :)

Btw, I hope this won't always be about somebody trying to ruin the relationship. And I also hope Aiko is really gonna stop trying to take Yamato for herself.

Lately, I've been watching a lot of different animes with sexual innuendo as a topic of sorts. It wasn't too terribly long ago I graduated high school, and the high schools around where I went each had their fair share of pimps and whores, but not nearly on the level that the animes I've seen have portrayed. It makes me wonder if Japanese school life is that filled with sexual activity, why is their population decreasing, and most people (under 40) are not married and/or not looking to be married. I rarely care about statistics but meh...it just seems like almost every girl in this one is just out for lust

Wow this show has so much drama. All the girls besides Mei and Asamicchi just want the D all the time, and all the guys besides Yamato and the other guy are just playboys. It is worse than Degrassi.

Also, from past episodes. Asamicchi told Mei she liked Yamato, but knew that it wouldn't work out. But she still starts dating the other guy like the same episode.

Also the fact that basically EVERY girl likes Yamato is pretty annoying.

I love Mei's reaction to that guy she had dinner with in the restaurant. Ranting and raving may get a reaction but just deleting his number and walking out with her dignity intact is way more effective.

It was a cute episode, although I was hoping for something more from Aiko, I thought she and Mister Smacker might join forces but he's clearly got too much hatred for Yamato for that to happen. And where has Asami got to, I'm missing seeing her character. I guess her main part to play might be over but it would be nice if she popped up again.
