| Well Shinichi is in trouble whenever a character who never opens their eyes opens their eyes i think you should start shitting yourself. I guess this was the part of the novel someone said they skipped in an old discussion thread they must be using it for the finale. |

| Matoba with that death stare in the end was just too damn creepy. Good for Shinichi for not submitting to the government and trying to save the Eldant Empire. There better be a romance developed between Miusel and Shinichi next week. Can't wait until the final episode, but I'm also sad to see it go. |

| All those foreshadowing with the military has reached the boiling point, never trusted that Matoba's sheepish smile. As bizzare as the invasion with culture sounded like, the tone was so serious for a minute even I believed in it. The solution was simple, solve the supply and demand. Man, Matoba's bloodshot eyes are freaky. |
| The episode was fun but the Machiavellian plan was only half cooked. IRL if there is a high demand there will be someone to provide for it, even if Shinchi hadn't thought about it the control the japanese goverment sought would less than a year (at best) and the locals would start to create local "magic items" that mimic technological import (but run on the free mana flowing thru this world); the real plan would have been that after the introductions of ideals like "all demihumans are created equal" and "democracy" you finance a local peasant revolt (think the french revolution) giving them firearms, kill the rulers (Petrarca, this is a guillotine) and place a puppet government that sells to you their local resources on the cheap (how many would not pay top bucks for a half-elf maid? she is not a slave, she just has a contract for life with our agency). |
| Lol Matoba's talk with Shinichi almost sound like he is trying to convince Shinichi to stop the Japanese government. Why would he release such important intel to him and make it sound evil and manipulative as possible? An attempt to set up a monopoly system is somehow an invasion? Right.. Matoba If he is truely for Jap gov, he won't say anything and instead try to appeal to Shinichi patriotism. I got a in mood to write a crazy speech of what an "evil?" Matoba would really said: Read it at your own leisure. "Although we are trying to pull a monopoly price mark up on goods that these people are greatly attracted to, this will ultimately improve the life of both side. They will enjoy our world's greatest entertainments, and Japan will gain access resources, oils, lands, labors, and maybe magic of a world bigger than Africa! This will usher a new age of colonialism for Japan. To achieve what we are too late to do in the 19th century. This is not greed as it is necessary to save our declining nation. Suffering from population aging, overpopulation, lack of cheap energy (Fukushima accident ruin our nuclear power future), and lack of resources, Japan is no longer the rising sun and instead is falling like a setting sun! Today, the communist China is rising fast and seeking vengeance for WWII, they are demanding to claim our Senkaku islands and its nearly sea. Threaten us everyday with their naval and air patrols, we are at the mercy of US protection because we are still not suppose to have an army. I said no more! If we are able to sell our culture for this world's resources, Japan will rise once against and possibility become the next superpower! Shinichi, join me, no, Join your nation! That idea proposed at the end was not unexpected, and makes me curious if they'll cut off all imports from Japan once they have their own industry up and stable. Unfortunately, it also looked like a death flag for Shinichi. At the very least, it won't be surprising to see the his gov't try to off him. |
| Now that went pretty serious there. As expected Matoba and the government are planning bad things hehe XD Pretty smart plan though. Esp since they're targeting the young generation so they can take control in the future. Until bam! Shihichi screwed him over lol. Awesome thinking there dude ^^...Really the main protagonist and heroine in this series are awesome. Myusel is <3 and Shinichi is a really good character. Dat Myucel cheering up was adorable. And u know shit gets real when a closed eyes character opens them. Damn those r some creepy eyes O_O...Nxt ep last. This show will be missed. Definitely biggest surprise of the season. Wonderful til now ^^ |

| There it is. They mentioned "outbreak". Now it all makes sense why the title is like that. I didn't expect Shinichi to reverse the situation like this. I wonder what the Japanese Government would do now that Shinichi suggested this idea? I can't wait to see if he will be exiled from Japan, or something like he would live in Eldant. |

| So the evil plan is finally revealed.. I don't think it was a sound plan though, there's always a chance that Shinichi would betray them. Not only that, what do you think the Eldant government would do once the Japanese government start threatening them to cut off supply? in the end they'll definitely resort to force, the one thing that the Japanese wanted to avoid in the first place. They don't even need Shinichi to tell them to make their own stuffs. If the culture has been ingrained in their life, it's only a matter of time before someone (like that Edward guy) create their own stuffs. If all they want is Eldant's natural resources, it would make more sense to make them hooked to the otaku culture and then use that as a trade for the resources. The Japanese would literally still rip Eldant off. The cost for providing them manga and anime would be nothing compared to the resources. Considering the Japanese are the only ones who can access Eldant, they'll also have a monopoly for its unique resources in our world. |
