Pissed off idol spotted.

I found a few of the scenes a bit disturbing this episode but whatever. Seems like the supernatural trope is continuing. Dat cliffhanger. I think the show has a thing for bikes.

I knew this show had something more than what it seems on the surface and it's engrossing me more and more every week.

First isn't it kind of disturbing how everyone doesn't give a shit anymore about the MoTW villains? That yawn from the police chief says it all

What does being a hero mean for Hazama and what can it be for society? Questions that Hazama ask himself after becoming self centered uttering the same lines as Flamenco Diamond

Also going off of the disturbing undertones. That phone call with Ishihara(Christmas Cake manager) followed by that one guys betrayal was my favorite part of the episode.

I'm just really excited to see where the show goes from here in the second half especially if King Torture is dealt with by the end of this cour

This is nuts.

Everything in the next episode is going to change. I can feel it. Expect a super huge plot twist.

SF is probably going to murder someone. One of those weapons the scientist gave him is probably a knife or something. He's been taking death lightly and now he's going to experience it first hand. We're also going to find out why the goal has been for the monsters to explode.

It seems the fights were just entertainment. King Torture never really cared about their pitiful objectives. I don't know what he's trying to do, but the monsters exploding was the objective the whole time. It's gonna lead to something big.

This show took the "serious/seinen as fuck" route.
I must admit I was feeling kind of uneasy during the torture scene.
Also, I've read from 4chan "rape" here and there, but nothing of kinds happens, jeez.

That was actually pretty good.

First part was meh like last ep but the second part with King Torture and his brutal torture to Konno was O_O. Damn that seems to hurt.

I wonder what his reply was though? I doubt he died yet...I think. But it's true he gives off the villain vibes too.

Mari being tortured was nice to see after how she was acting XD...Dat body!! :3

Well let's see how serious this will get. It was pretty serious this ep but I still can't take it that seriously XD

The only interesting part for me was the guy being tortured which I did not expect to happen.
Here I was thinking he was being a creep for continuing to pester the manager but then the scene shifted so dramatically like that.

Hopefully it just keeps building. I was trying to take this in as parody but the "non-serious" parts are just boring to me.

King Torture sounds too much like Jouji.

Two crazy NoitaminA episodes tonight. First Galilei Donna and now this.

TORTURE !!!!
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

That's what I was thinking, and he always seems to be supposedly out of the country when King Torture's villains attack. Plus early when Jouji was training with Hazama he was telling Hazama that he is not ready to save the world.

Wow. The plot thickens. Flamenco Diamond is captured! Whoa.
I wonder if this is actually the final battle? LOL.

Anyways, can't wait to see him save Diamond.

Pretty engaging episode. I found what Harazuka was talking about to be pretty interesting. What exactly is King Torture?
That Konno guy looked really messed up. Guess they call him King Torture for a reason.

Figured that something was gonna happen to Flamenco Diamond after she did that interview, but I didn't think she was actually gonna be caught by King Torture. She looks pretty beat up. I find her to be somewhat annoying, but I hope Samurai Flamenco saves her.

I gotta say, most of this episode has an eerie feeling to it. Like the next episode bodes death and plot twists! I'm still not over the guillotine gorilla scene. I just know anything could go wrong at any time. The next episode could start with someone losing a limb! Or end that way! or both!!! Or nothing. Either way it's got me on my toes...

And to end it with style peeps: Seven days... (the ring voice)
I have to wait that long.

Loved the soundtrack in this ep and it got pretty serious.

I think the main thing i disliked about the twist wasn't that they went a different route i think it was more the crappy (imo) designs of them.

Anyway hopefully next week we find out it was all a movie recording LOL definitely better than the last couple episodes though, mari got what she deserved.

The start part with the tissues was strange? was that a joke or what? i dont know if i should take that as something else...

King torture is kinda good, i'm just watching atm for the characters, i just hope these stupid villains of the week stop popping up, judging by king tortures words they will stop :P I like their serious talks and the character relationships most of all which let's me look past the ridiculousness xD

So the show continues the self-parody path... It reminds more and more Meitantei Conan.

Bad writing, they said. Just a dream, they said. Mars attacks!

I just love how the director made both - us, the viewers, and the show characters - feel bored and disappointed with the monsters of the previous episode. He made many accept that that was all those guys had in mind. But obviously no, far from it.

In fact, looks like the real show only starts now. Just like many Japanese citizens get used to constant earthquakes and accept them as part of the daily life, the 'sudden major surprises' like Fukushima, hiding behind the Viva Torture deaths, then hit hard, without merci.

I was starting to think that this was all an elaborate set up by Konno since the monsters didn't seem to actually do any harm (minus the Gorilla) and the government seemed to be taking over the only case with actual casualties. After seeing him being kidnapped, I have the same question as Masayoshi, just what are they facing? I'm genuinely curious now how they'll tie everything together in the end.

Man this show is too great, I can't wait for next week.

Flamenco girl called out, and King Torture responded like a true evil boss.

Btw I find it funny (and quite suspicious) how Hazama's karate master always has to go somewhere when a fight is coming up lol.

So... are things really more than they seem judging from what King Torture has done just now? We're almost at the halfway point, so that's probably a "yes". I'm half-expecting another "holy shit" moment here, soon. I don't know what it'll be (whether it's better than the guillotine gorilla or not), but it's coming.

Also, Mari may be annoying, but she didn't deserve that at all (even if she was giving information or conducting an interview or whatever it was she was doing to lead up to it). I can only imagine what they did to her...

"Don't talk about saving the world before you've done it. You never know what could happen to you in the final episode." Foreshadowing? Anyways, I knew this series wouldn't disappoint. Mari is a bitch but she didn't deserve that, no one does (really stupid for calling him out). So many episodes left still. Can't wait for the next episode.

I feel like I am living some really bad nightmare, watching exceptionally bad sentai show. It's suffering to continue watching any further.

I wonder... what they want to accomplish with this bullshit? It's barely watchable and I couldn't possibly make myself to watch it again. Are they intentionally canibalising their Bluray profits?

Anyway, maybe it's just because I'm tired, but I was actually falling asleep during the last minutes. Random things keep happening and the only character I seriously care about now is Gotou, lol.
I'm waiting for some serious plot twist here.

I dunno, I've been feeling the same way since the last episode. The show's just lost its flair.

And it feels like they're just skipping through things now. I don't even feel anything about the Mari thing because it just happened out of nowhere.

This show just keeps impressing me!

Last week I wasn't quite sure about the direction it was going to take but now I'm certain the producers know exactly what's the story they want to tell as it's shaping up as a quite clever show.

Despite the addition of the new antagonist the show has mostly remained the same, the great chemistry between the characters, the goofy humour and the poignant remarks on the various things in our lifes we rarely take time to think about are still present.
Only the looming danger of King Torture has shaken up the atmosphere but even that is a pleasant turn of events in my eyes since it allows the directore to flew his muscles when it comes to showcasing his skills at building up tension and creating some thrilling moments.

It has become quite apparent that one of the major themes of this show is the entertainment industry which is not simply reflected by the fact that there are models, idols or journalists among the cast. Especially King Torture's conversation with Konno was interesting since he acts in accordance with public reception and the human desire for entertainment, no matter what monstrous results these actions will bear - simliar to how sensation-seeking magazines encourage their employees to use the most immoral methods possibly simply in order to provide lurid headlines in an attempt to garner an audience.

So no one gives a shit about King Torture except the main characters now. Ha.
I guess it's steering back to its semi-realism... somewhat. Hope they continue this.

The corny heroes I guess are just adding the 'realism', since no one gives a fuck any more and just tape them on their cellphones.

Wonder how this will continue.

Bad imitation of Power Rangers, but added with real life situations such as sacrifice, entertainment, sadism, sci-fi (the weapons), I think the most realistic part would be the civilians being desensitised towards the "Monster of the week" lol.

One possible part where it is not covered yet is also the origin of the "monsters". It isn't sacrifice if it just comes from the sky.

O yea, halfway through this episode, I was reminded of some references to terrorism, as if the director/mangaka wanted to show how people are numbed to terrorism nowadays if it does not affect them directly and that they turn a blind eye to such serious things happening even if it is very near them.

And finally, Hazama's evil personality does not show this episode. I wonder why is there a change in focus. Shouldn't he be very very happy he get to fight more villains? He doesn't look all that happy to me.

so basically, last week's episode is to desensitize us with monster of the week.. i knew they were trying to make us intentionally bored.. so that we'd have the same reaction as the civilians.. only to come back with us into something that i can't really understand anymore.. i love it when i'm not understanding anything and yet i'm still hooked.. what i'm only looking forward though is the explanation to all of these in the future, to determine if it really lives up to the mystery..

The episode still faces tonal shift problems, most of the events are done in quick succession.

At least, there were some questions asked about this odd monsters appearing, the answers were more theoretical.

The second half had a grip on my interest, it was dark and brooding and posed a possible solution to all this absurdness by the next episode.

It better be worth it.
