| I don't really see myself as someone who believes in God intensely and passionately, as if my life's sole purpose was to live according to his will. I was raised by my Christian parents but tbh, I've had my questioning period, there were times I questioned if God really exists or not and the more I think about it, the more I seem to contradict myself (regardless of what i believed in at the time). I just came to a conclusion that I should at least believe in something, no matter how absurd those beliefs were. I don't believe in categorising your beliefs to a certain religion. "I believe in God so I must be a Christian. I believe in mind enlightenment so I must be a Buddhist." It's ridiculous, really. What if I believed in both? Or half of this and a few of those? What should I call my religion then...? Maybe that's why they're so many agnostics. |
