Some of them even have Mini Arcade games, some have other stuff etc. For example I've been playing Little Busters Visual Novel and I'm like 35 Hrs into it with only 3/8 Completed. Tons of reading. |

Just when these humans fighting between themselves, the BETAs would sprout out from the ground like mad, and put an end to all of them. The ending would be the huge BETA standing on top of a mountain on human corpses, smirking like a boss. |

“What I hate are people who misuse their intelligence, the ones who get caught up in their own personal beliefs and prejudices and lose sight of the truth. It leads to misunderstandings, followed by discord and then by conflict. All I want is understanding between people.[…]Humans must learn to apply their intelligence correctly and evolve beyond their current. People must change, otherwise even if humanity expands into space it will only create new conflicts.” —Aeolia Schenberg, A.D. 2091 Well..... damn you Beta, win the war already !! Someone explain to me why they changed the OP/ED with only 4 episodes left. Natalie got pwned; I actually lol'd when she got shot because she's a moron for thinking that everyone going to cooperate. Also with 4 episodes left? I highly doubt they can end the series, will there be a season 2? |

Here you are talking about realism when you seem to believe that when an alien force threatens our world that we will all come together, forget racism, greed, personal interest, etc and everything will be super happy and awesome...are you serious? This is a world on the brink of destruction. There's not enough food to go around to play Samaritan anymore. So maybe that food would go to the military higher ups and soldiers instead of the starving masses. Maybe the starving masses might not be cool with this. I acknowledge that there will inevitably be conflicts within the human race. I never said people will magically forget their differences and make love/peace. It's obviously not that simple. However, I am under the belief that when mankind is faced with an even bigger threat than themselves, they will prioritize fighting against the new threat, and at least temporarily cooperate. With the way things are going in the anime, it's like they have forgotten about the imminent presence of the BETA. That's my biggest gripe about the anime. The realism part I mentioned earlier has more to do with not showing the conflict between the biggest threat with mankind, rather than the humans fighting among themselves. Once again, I'm not saying it's unrealistic for rebels to exist or that there shouldn't be any kinds of conflict among humans. Perhaps I should have worded my previous statement better. |

Given that the Cold War has never ended, I'm not surprised at the reaction. Both the US and the Soviets did plenty of stupid shit during the Cold War, and it contrasts with the fact that a decade ago they were buddies during World War II. In the real world a glance through the news would show you so many incidences you'll be wondering who let such retards run the countries. Would it help if I mentioned that the RLF was actually sponsored by the European Union (given that in the ML world the largest users of the F-16 and MiG-29 are fallen European Union and Warsaw nations), who are known to give BETA research facilities the sternest of contempt? dashiawia said: However, I am under the belief... Therein is the flaw others see in your view. Your belief, not the world at large's. DarthVantos was rude as hell, but his comment had some of the truth inside. Then again this episode was completely out of left field with Natalie's insight into refugee conditions and random shots of the Orange Box people wandering around. Could have done with a bit more setup around the first ten, eleven to fifteen and later episodes, but that would require cutting out the development between Yuuya, Yifei, Yui and Cryska. An understanding of the MLA world's political landscape would be required to understand why and how, and it's a shame that TE lacks the time for that. Me, I'm just waiting for the Type-00 to step in. The TSF series that that oversized strawberry-mustard bottle belonged too isn't renowned as the best anti-Hive unit for nothing... |

What if I told you that (WARNING! Muv-Luv Unlimited (the prequel before Muv-Luv Alternative) spoiler, read at your own risk!) the "American plan" that the bartender girl going to talk about is PROBABLY going to include Nuking the entire Eurasian with some kind of Atomic Bombs and preparing a space shuttle for less than one million "selected" people to run away from earth? Even I may join the resistance group if I were told that (in their position) and I'm not a goddamnit Eishi that have some kind of power to change the world with "the obvious way", defeating the BETA... ...wait, even nobody in this series have any power to do that. Anyway, people should remember that : 1. This world is still under some kind of Cold War mentality where "world peace between countries" view haven't been established yet. 2. This world have been fighting for almost 30 years (world war lasted for less than ten years and see how many of humanity effected by that). There are many social factors that differ with our current world, and they differ among different countries (Eurasian countries suffers while American countries enjoy the "war benefits" that they got while fighting from the safe line, to call some examples) 3. The war with BETA won't be resolved at all in this series. To see real effort to resolve the problem with BETA, play the VN or pray for a more than decent studio to animate the original series. Anyway, if you complain about lack of foreshadowing about the rebel faction, it's a totally valid complain. But "this scenario is unrealistic" is not. You just assuming that this world's logic could be implemented easily to world in Muv-Luv, this isn't the story where some aliens suddenly attack the earth in 2012 where their logic is expected to be similar with our logic. And of course, being in a position where you can see the whole case in safe, objective PoV, most people will look stupid for you. |

Yet instead, we're getting this new conflict that literally just came out of nowhere. It's also an issue that you are basing this view on limited information. Remember this is a spinoff and not the main story. The BETA are an antagonist from another story. In this story they are merely a piece of the setting. Therefore they are not focused on. In the main story a lot of information is present which explains most of your problems with the plot. In particular why the world hasn't united against a common threat and that they are doing massive amounts to fight back. It's just that the efforts are top secret for certain reasons. Honestly you wouldn't believe the depths humanity had to go just to fight off BETA. As for the Yuuya vs Leon conflict...well who cares? That would be a boring way to end the series. It has no consequence or repercussions if either team wins. The new conflict (While I agree should have been expanded more on and mentioned throughout the story.) has stakes. Things are at risk here. It's better to end a series with a fight that truly makes a difference. |

lots of debates here. but i actually like the plot going to humans vs humans. the cliche plot is for humans to somehow find a way to eliminate all beta once and for all. in 3-4 episodes. which is way too late at this point. unless there are new and other types of beta that are not seen before, the battles between humans-vs-beta will just going to be a lot of shooting, bombing, slashing scenes (with gore) thats been shown many times every time they encounter betas. And frankly, it will just become repetitive. At least a human-vs-human battle will consist of TSFs and theirdiff skills and abilities against one another. in short, betas-vs-humans are just way too bland and boring along with the typical save the world plot. TSFs-vs-TSFs have a higher potential on better show of strategy and fghting scenes. show 'em those mech fights! and of course, more reason for a following season since the beta will still be around |

Ooh, a new OP and ED this late into the series eh? I wonder why they those to do it now of all times. Probably because everything turned all dark and went to shit this episode. Damn, that attack from the inside was brutal! So many casualties in just one episode, very gruesome. They were even disguised as MP's. This attack was planned long in advance. It was pretty obvious Natalie was actually undercover. She didn't deserve to die like that. The RLF, just another delusional army trying to "change the world"... |

Well, perhaps "unrealistic" isn't the right word. What I meant was that it's dumb for people to be selfish at such a critical time. While it may be very well realistic, it still doesn't change the core of the situation for me. Besides, if they really wanted to flesh out the human vs human conflict, then they should have started it halfway through the series, not 5 episodes before the finale. I hardly think they'd have time to conclude this arc in a satisfying manner now. This show started off strong with the brutal deaths and alien invasions. Unfortunately, it lost all its steam when they decided to throw in unnecessary fanservice episodes instead of further advancing the plot. |

Nice episode. It really should have taken near the end of the episode for this stuff to take place. I'm pretty sure it's fair to say that this is the reason we fell in love with the series in the beginning. The gore ,brutal killing , are back killing off characters without a second thought. This anime does it best of any series in how it shows people getting killed off most animes are scared to do that. |

The only thing I’m having a hard time believing is how prepared the resistance was. They launched a serious military operation their own fully equipped little army and they had multiple moles in every key location on base. That attack would take years of planning and consume tremendous resources. They could have fed a lot of people with those resources, or they could have used their moles to change the militaries from the inside. However, I believe the rebels cause is ultimately pointless. Most of the world has been lost so I imagine that there are more people on the planet than could be fed. The only place on the planet that looks like it would be able to export food is the United States, and I imagine that they are the ones keeping most of the other countries like the USSR and Japan afloat. I don’t really see any hope for the refugees unless they choose to serve in the militaries of the remaining countries, which it looks like a good number of people have already done. |

Destroying precious and expensive combat equipment used to fight the good fight. Plus their crews and pilots. Please explain to me how this isn't detrimental to the human race. Of course refugees are treated poorly. They flee their country and enter another with no money and few belongings with millions of their kind and start devouring the resources of that country. While the settled residents now have to put up with it. With less arable land to go around and such, they can't feed everyone. The people with money will get food. It's a time where the strong need to survive and the weak will have to perish, or become strong. Yeah, this whole rebellion thing was kinda stupid. Not only are the aliens still on this planet and killing people, now humans are killing humans. I thought that an alien invasion would have brought us together. I understand that the refugees were treated like shit, but they killed soldiers and civilians that were completely unrelated to that. They just kill innocent people. If there was an alien invasion, I would care about killing the aliens and surviving, not rebelling and destroying the people who fight against the aliens and their equipment. Why would they destroy the tools to defeat the aliens? That's just idiotic. This whole rebellion would be a lot more practical after the aliens were defeated, not while they are at the brink of extinction. :P |
