Stream 100%

I got caught a few years ago downloading a movie *ahh, before anime days* and if I get caught downloading anything ever again the only cable internet available where I live will ban us :'( Although the chances are so slim of getting caught for downloading, I'd prefer to watch bad quality to no anime at all any day.

Oh also there's only 7 gbs left on my computer so it would barely hold anything anyway!

Download, this way I can store the anime. My HD's only 150GB so I convert all anime to DVD(XviD) and PC compatible and put it in a DVD+R.

Currently I have almost 100 dvd discs in my collection.

I'm still not a year old since I've been active in anime. I guess I can do 200 for the next year if there's still more to download ^^ I quite get the hang of it because I proposed this idea to my friend. We download different anime, convert then trade.

Since I'm doing this, I put all anime I've downloaded On-Hold. Downloading and converting is faster than watching in my case. They're at 50+ now. I wonder when will I be able to watch all of them.

It's nice to know you're also doing the same ^^

When I first started watching... I sorta had a lot of series to watch so I streamed a lot of them, but I did download a fair amount.

Now I download unless I can't find one, then its to streams.

it's not my ultimate goal. just want to be able watch some titles again, because companies licensing anime sometimes manage to delete almost all sight of some anime has ever been fansubbed. as far as I'm not from North America, quite difficult to purchase a license DVD, so for me it's just the way to store almost all my anime.

and I'm burning only watched titles, in case someone won't give them back =)

I prefer downloading the anime because it's much better than streaming

Streaming doesn't have good quality but downloading has awesome quality you just have to look for the better fansub group

It depends on the series and my mood. Sometimes if I do not feel like downloading a certain anime due to laziness or boredom, I go for a stream. If there is a legal stream out there, then I will watch it there.

I do a bunch of both. When I was still in school I only downloaded because of the fast university connection. But I do less of that now since I'm low on space and my internet is crap. I imagine that will shift yet again to only dl-ing now.. or at least once that harddrive I bought arrives in the mail ^^

I also don't download manga usually, I just view it online.

Are you being facetious, or are you serious? I mean, if its the latter, then streaming is when you go on YouTube/Veoh and play a file without letting it download all the way.

If you're being facetious, suck. :D

Anyway. I hate streaming, except in certain circumstances. Like when I'm at a friend's house and we're surfing the internet using his PS3--we'll stream a few eps of stuff there. Or if I'm using someone else's laptop or something and I'm on long enough to stream but not download. I'll stream then.

But at my own house? Pfft. No streaming. Ever. I can't stand the drop in quality, plus some uploaders screw up and the timing's all f'ed. If I don't like a series or don't feel its worth downloading, I generally don't feel its worth watching.

I download. I have been since I started because my old connection wasn't even enough for streams to work, even at the most crappy quality.

Since then I've been a quality whore >>

Usually, if people ask, i'll say "Even when you stream, you techniclaly still "download" it, and if you know how, you can get the video out of your browser's cache, right?

No, I wwas being quite serious. I'd heard the term streaming before, but I wasn't quite sure what it reffered to. Now that I know, I can't believe that I even had to ask. Thanks for answering my question though.
For me, I prefer downloading.
