| How can we have this club and not share our opinions on what we feel is the most brutal/hardcore/gory etc... anime you have seen and/or manga you have read. Obvious contenders are those listed on our page front obviously: Berserk, Gantz, Higurashi, Elfen Lied etc... So what is your opinion. I feel an anime (or american anime moreover) that can added to the contenders list is Spawn. In my honest opinion though as far as anime goes Higurashi is possibly the most WTF but not the most brutal. I'm not sure what the most brutal anime is, possibly Gantz (that I've seen), but the most brutal manga I've read so far is without a doubt Berserk. |

| I'd go with Gantz too, it was definitely the most brutal anime I have seen. Elfen Lied is close by. |
