| Is this like a neutered version of Azazel-san or something? I expected some laughs, and instead i get an anime that manages to be unfunnier than a Carlos Mencia stand up. And they just casually say that the blonde is a trap? Where's the hyperbolic humor that the Japanese always do whenever there's a trap joke in it? And the direction is fucking terrible. They keep showing the middle of the joke without leading to it. There is absolutely no setup and payoff in the entire 23 minutes and 41 seconds of this anime. Is this the unfunniest anime of 2013? Are they aiming for that? |

But humor should NOT BE LAZY. I spent 3 months at a comedy writing course at Upright Citizen's Brigade and i frequently visit rakugo theaters on Japan because of my relative uncle who's doing rakugo. So i'm very supportive of good comedy and good comedy takes alot of effort, especially Japanese humor like rakugo and manzai. And people like Sorachi took weeks and months to write jokes and stories for Gintama, which is why the humor and situations are fantastic. But whenever there is lazy unfunny comedy i felt pissed off because i feel ripped off. Which is why i hate Adam Sandler and that Friedberg/Seltzer shit, and this anime is the best example of "lazy unfunny humor". |

| With this type of anime you either like it or you don't. I found it pretty hillarious myself, looking forward to more episodes. Esp. when he replied to the phone, lol'd hard xD |
| I was kind a surprised, I was hoping for some kind of detective show, but I guess I should have looking into it further oh well. Not what I expected but not bad either. It seems that everyone except the cat lover is crazy. |
| I never thought I´d ever say something like this about an anime, but I think I´ll just keep watching this one because the characters are cute. The jokes are okay, but not really good enough to be a reason for me to watch it. I´m not new to fast paced animes but this just felt a little too much. It took me over an hour to get through this one episode because I had to rewind every ten seconds. They were talking pretty fast, but the main issue for me was that there was just so much going on in the background that it would have been impossible to notice everything without replaying every scene several times. I guess this is one of those animes where you´re just supposed to sit there and not care if you don´t know what they just said, because you know it´s not going to make any more sense either way. So I´ll try doing that when the next episode comes out. None the less, I enjoyed it, and that should be the only thing that matters when watching an anime. |

I really hope so because it made me laugh a little. That said, I kept hearing how bad the show was and tried an episode out of sheer curiosity. Inaba is weird (in a unfunny way) and is definitely trying waaayyyy too hard. I'll give the second episode a try though. Still, if the writing continues as is I can easily see myself eventually wanting to throw my TV out of the window in sheer anger. Or do the sensible thing and watch something else. |

| Something must be wrong with me, I couldn't stop laughing through either of the episodes. I get a similar feeling from this anime as I do from Gintama and Hayate no Gotoku in terms of humor. There are a lot of jokes in this anime based on a more than superficial understanding of Japanese culture and language (puns, references etc) |

As for those defending it by saying "if you don't like it, don't watch it", you're missing the ENTIRE POINT OF A DISCUSSION FORUM. You know, the discussion. It's not a circlejerk forum. It's a place to discuss different points of views and opinions - including negative ones. If that's all you want to say, don't bother posting - you aren't adding to the discussion, you are pretty much spamming as your posts are stupid, pointless, and annoying and serve no value to the thread or the forum as a whole. Your post is far more of a shitpost than someone saying, AND EXPLAINING WHY, that they dislike the show. If you have some valid counterpoint or would like to discuss why he thinks that way, go ahead, but just saying the same tired line of "then don't watch it" is the same as saying absolutely nothing outside of "I've got nothing to actually say, but I want to bump up my post count". It's not just this thread or just this show (hell, it's almost every anime thread in every anime discussion board), but it's annoying so this is where I'm saying it. |
