| Masaru had snuck out of the night class dorms since everyone there was getting on his nerves. Though he still had to be careful walking about, less he would get mobbed by day class students. "What a pain in the ass." He said quietly to himself, climbing up on a tree and sitting on a branch while leaning against the trunk of it. |

| Blair's vision blurred as she stepped onto Cross Academy's grounds. She could smell it...fresh human blood. Her eyes were pulsating red as she began to shake and lose herself. Growling, she ran at inhuman speed through the grounds. When she stopped, she was at a fountain. Wincing, Blsir stabbed her hand and hissed as she regained control. She needed blood. |

| Masaru stared at the girl who had just arrived at the fountain. From the way she was running he could already tell she wasn't normal. Especially after she just stabbed herself for no apparent reason. His spot on the branch concealed him rather well, which was good as he did not want himself revealed. |

| Rin stepped out of the shadows and stared at the struggling girl. She wanted to do something but couldn't think of anything at the time. She decided to stay out of trouble and ran back to the dorms. |
| Masaru noticed that another girl had appeared. She seemed unusually young. Luckily for the one that just stabbed herself, this new girl was also a part of the Night class. |

| Blair fell on her knees and coughed on bile as her mind began to turn. She'd gone too long without feeding. Hissing as her eyes darkened, Blair ran into the night. Screams filled the air, and Blair returned coated in blood. Her face was translike as she looked at her freshly healed hand. |

| Masaru sighed. "Hm... A Level E. You better not act that way if front of Kuren. Otherwise he'll kill you, or make you his lapdog at the least." He said calmly, still sitting on the tree branch. |

| Blair turned and looked at the figure, licking her fingers clean with dull eyes. "Where am I? What's a Kuran?" she giggled merrily as her pupils contracted. |

| Masaru remained emotionless and closed his eyes, leaning his head back against the trunk. "Kaname Kuren. He is the pureblood that oversees our kind in this school. You are lucky that I figured out what you are and not one of his lap dogs." He said coldly. |

| Blair giggled and back flipped onto the edge of the fountain with a merry laugh. "Oh yes, I know him," she frowned as she looked around. "Damn...I fed didn't I?" |

| "Yes. Baka." Masaru said calmly. "Though if you maintain a... 'decent' appearance. He is more likely to put the blame on me." He let out an annoyed sigh. "Also, stabbing yourself in broad daylight is not an intelligent idea." |

| "It usually keeps me sane," Blair grumbled as she cleaned herself with the fountain. |

| "Still, quite strange of a Level E like you to walk right into the middle of a school full of humans... What logic is behind it?" Masaru asked opening one eye and staring at her with it. |

| "The Headmaster is allowing me to use his labs as a testing facility. That's why." Blair turned and looked at her bloody hands with a frown. |

| "I see... You're trying find an escape. How optimistic." Masaru said calmly. "Though I suppose I'd do the same if it could keep me sane and keep me from becoming a pureblood's lap dog." |

| "I killed the pureblood that made me...now I must find another way to reverse the progress of the disease," Blair said calmly. |

| "If you manage to kill Kuren, I might be so joyed that I may help you." Masaru said huffing. |

| "You have a grudge against that cocky pure blood?" Blair jeered. |

| "I have a grudge against my entire race. I would rather be a human, even if many confuse and annoy me." Masaru said sighing. |

| Right when he said that, Rin fell of the tree she had climbed. She just stared st the two without saying a word. |
| Blair jumped slightly and looked over at the girl. With inhuman speed, she grabbed her by the neck and growled. "How much did you hear?" |

| Masaru sighed and jumped down from the tree, slowly walking over to the two of them. He grabbed Blair's wrist and pulled it away from the other girl's neck. "Baka, don't go picking fights. This girl is more than likely higher than what you are and even though it is possible for you to kill a higher ranked of our species, charging blindly is not a strategy that will help." He said calmly, still gripping her wrist. "Besides, she's not a threat, I noticed her get here shortly after I did. If she was a threat I would have just left." He then let go of her wrist and sighed. |

| Blair growled and jerked her arm away. "That isn't the point. I think that if I've killed a pure blood I can handle her." |

| "Can you handle every vampire alive? Because that is what it will come to if you keep trying to kill pointlessly." Masaru said coldly. "And underestimating your opponent will get you killed, no matter the rank." |

| Rin looked confused. "I am sorry for bothering you. I was only looking for Kaname Kuran. The headmaster told me to find him. I am supposed to be turtored by some older vampires." She said looking at the ground. "And I heard only the last about Kaname Kuran so I thought that you guys could help me find him." |
| Blair looked at the girl warily before turning to the male again. "How do you know it hasn't already come to that? I'm on a lot of hit lists. Cross is the only one without a grudge surprisingly." |

| "Obviously, but you can still walk around freely and as long as you act normal not many will suspicious." Masaru said calmly. He then looked down at the girl and merely stared at her. |

| When the female let go of Rin, she ran behind the male and grabbed the back of his jacket. "She is scary. Can you help me?" |
| "And I'm not scary? That's a first." Masaru responded blankly. "Kuran should be in the night class dorms ordering people around out of boredom. If he's not he's probably with that Yuki girl." |

| "Who is Yuki? Is it a type of sickness? Or is it a dog?" She said with innocent eyes. "I do not like to be alone. And you seem nice. So if you do not mind, can I stay with you until Kaname Kuran comes back?" She smiled up at him. |
| "Yuki is a day class student. In fact I'm surprised she hasn't popped up out of no where and told us to return to our dorms." Masaru sighed. "Nice isn't a word that I'd use to describe myself. However, I don't mind." He said looking back down at her, slightly confused. |

| "I know what's wrong with you. You have bad dreams don't you?" |
| Blair's eyes flashed bright red as she watched the girl clung to the male and growled. "What...class...are you in?" |

| Masaru looked down at her suspiciously. "How do you know that?" He asked seriously. |

| "I am too young to go here. So one day I ran into the headmaster literally, and he saw that I was homeless. He dragged me back to the school and said that i was going to be schooled by the older vampires. My momma and pappa were both on the council thingy and died when I was young...." Rin said. |
| "But that doesn't explain how you know about my nightmares." Masaru said turning to face her. Does she know about ability? That's impossible, I've never shown anyone that ability. He thought. |

| She turned to the male. " My powers are to go into people's dreams and I can kinda take their memory without knowing at times.." |
| Masaru kneeled down to her height with a serious expression. "How much do you know?" He asked. |

| Blair's eyes flashed again as she injected herself with a black fluid. Her eyes dimmed and she relaxed substantially. "You should get going then. There are scary things lurking in the dark." |

| "I don't know much about you in your dreams. I've only been in one. But in that dream your fighting with a blonde guy. And I was in it. That's how I know that you are nice. Because your going to save me." She turned to the female. "Don't go telling me what to do! I am a big girl!" She yelled. |
| Blonde? Who would I be fighting that's... Wait... She saw him... He thought to himself. "Don't say anything to anyone else, not even that you went into my mind. Understand?" Masaru said seriously. "And what do you mean 'save?" |

| Rin nodded. "I understand. But I don't know what you mean by save. It was your dream. You tell me. And who's the blonde. He seemed mad at you." |
| "That doesn't narrow it down very well. Almost everyone hates. It could some of the other night class. Could be someone else. But I don't know why you'd be in my dreams before I even met you." Masaru said sighing and rubbing his forehead. |

| Blair rolled her eyes. "I'll tell you whatever I like, brat." |
