What do you think is the manliest rock band? What music just gets you so pumped that you have to scream, "I WANNA RAPE SOMEONE IN THE BUTT!!!"?

For me, I'll have to say the band Say Anything just because they sing about very manly things like sex and metaphors for sex and killing things and other really fun stuff like telling people off. I mean honestly any band that has quotes like these can't go wrong:

"You godamn kids had best be gracious with the much money you spend, cause for you I won't ever have rough sex with Molly Connelly again." (I swear that's a line from one of their songs Every Man Has His Molly off their ...Is a Real Boy album.

Seriously.
What's yours?

Yeah Limp Bizkut is pretty manly. Also, I have to go with Metallica and Iron Maiden, I mean no one is quite as manly as that. Metal and screaming always seem to pump me up in the morning. Oh yeah, Bloodhound Gang pretty much rocks at 5:30 in the morning. The Bad Touch is one of the best songs ever.

Are they the German band that sings the Barbie Girl song and the Mortal Kombat theme? If they are, I know exactly what you're talking about.

The Barbie Girl song was some dodgy swedish pop outfit wasn't it? Rammstein did "Feuer Frei", which I believe was on the Matrix (or something).

Good, I did know what I was talking about, that makes me feel so much better. Anyway, another really great manly band is Brand New. Not too many people have heard of them but I highly recommend listening to their song Seventy times Seven after a break up with a girl.

Brand New aren't manly. Are you living on planet girl?

Brand New lie somewhere between emo and new metal, and although I do like some of their songs, they're still just a bunch of kids (with all that entails).

Seriously. Bands like Papa Roach, Bowling for Soup, Sum 41, Green Day, Linkin Park, Brand New, Bullet for my Valentine, Lost Prophets, Incubus, AFI, My Chemical Romance, etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum, are all the same genre of music - basically what I call new girly rock. The only reason Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock (who should just die), aren't in that list is because they actually sang about the manliest sport of all - getting laid.

Two more manly bands though. The Offspring (pretty much single handedly paved the way for the modern american punk movement, and got kudos from every other band except Green Day, who claimed the were the pioneers - even though The Offspring have been around for more years than Green Day), and Godsmack.

Hey, Brand New kicks ass and they changed their style excellently on God and the Devil Are Fighting Inside Me (Or whatever that album name is.) into something not so punk or emo and very much alternative/acid rock. Besides, I only mentioned the song Seventy Times 7 simply because it is the best song to listen to after some bitch breaks up with you after stealing all your money and food and never did I mention another one of their songs. That's the only reason that I named Brand New. However, I agree with your assessment of all the other bands in your list that aren't manly.

The Offspring are an excellent band though I don't like their new stuff all that much. (They peaked on Americana in my opinion. One of the best CDs I own.) I espiecially enjoy "Can't Get My Head Around You", "Staring at the Sun", and of course the "Americana Song", plus I have to mention ye old standby "Pretty Fly." "And all the girlies say I'm pretty fly for a white guy."

Also, need to mention the Bloodhound Gang since no one else has. "The Bad Touch" is one of the best songs to listen to at five in the morning. Besides that, they are just an all round fun band to listen to. Last but not least, Harry Chapin just for the songs "Sniper" and "30,000 Pounds of Bannanas."

Ah, forgot to add the band I'm in called as of right now the Party Crashers though that is definately subject to change. We having fully completed any songs yet but the band has preposterous amounts of energy and testosterone ... PREPOSTERONE!!! Anyway, it's pretty good so far and our two guitarists kick a whole lot of ass. Besides that, we have some pretty manly lyrics, if you want I can post some on here.

(Sorry, couldn't pass up the chance for shameless self-promotion.)

yeah, japanese metal is great, but MtH isn't metal.

Listne to Galneryus, Iron Attack!, Sabbat, X Japan, etc. etc.

That's metal. MtH is just J Rock.

One last addition, as for my stance on Lamb of God... They're way more popular than they deserve. I can play any one of their songs, solos included, on guitar. All it is is chugging on the open 6th string (they play in Drop D) with some notes in between the endless chug chug shenanigans. Once you've heard one song, you've heard them all. Also not very manly tbqh

Amon Amarth is manly. Fuck yeah.

As a little extra note, it seems a bunch of people are using this thread to attempt to show off their musical tastes. This is a thread for "manliest band" in case some of you haven't noticed. Not how many crappy mainstream metal (or "metal") bands you like.
