Basically, in the beginning of Fate/Zero, it clearly states that Holy Grail War happens every 60 years. However, the 5th Holy Grail War (Fate/stay night) is only 10 years after the 4th (Fate/Zero). Are there any official answers to this question? Why are the 4th and 5th Holy Grail Wars only 10 years apart?

I was hoping that I would get an answer after finishing Fate/Zero, but it never happened

The Greater Grail needs 60 years to amass enough mana to summon the Servants. However in the end of the 4th war the grail didnt use all that mana to grant any wish and then was destroyed by Kiritsugu.Because of that only 10 years were needed for the grail to gather enough mana to start the 5th war.

in the visual novel it never said it had to be 60 years, it actually said average time was 60 years, and that the time between the fourth and fifth grail wars was the shortest cycle ever

im not finished with it though yet to know if theres a reason why its the shortest cycle

Watch/read the original series before spouting that crap. If you really can't bother then it's a very simple answer. Kiritsugu destroyed the "physical" grail but all the accumulated energy remained behind in the Greater Grail (again, this is all mentioned in the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel's Heaven's Feel route). This allowed for a few anomalies including the small lapse between wars. Matou Zouken outright mentions this during one of his early appearances in Heaven's Feel when he's debating whether the Matou family should just ignore the Fifth War or compete properly.

True, but the ones who explain this are either not fully informed (Rin) or outright withholding information (Kirei). Zouken is indeed the first one that says there's something odd about it. Well, about that and all the other shit that was going on.

Speaking of mistakes...here
read this review I found

As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

Seems to be too well written, like the reviewer understands the mistakes and assumptions Nasuverse newbies make and is doing it on purpose to get a rise out of people. Or it could just be a noob. Whatever

Fate Zero changed some things and I found it hilarious that the things Urobuxhi Gen did change were not mentioned at all. Instead it focused on the things that had proper explanations in the Visual Novel.

Well he obviously only saw the anime, so of course he's not aware of those things.

Also it can just be said that Saber was saving face by calling it a "battle" in F/SN as while she did say there was one, it wasn't actually shown in the visual novel itself.

Not to mention that F/SN makes it clear that she hasn't seen Ea before and she lacks Avalon in F/Z. Any battle she could have with Gilgamesh in F/Z would just be Gate of Babylon spam until she croaks.

She calls any encounter between Servants a "battle" honestly. When she was pressed for more details all she mentioned was that Gilgamesh proposed to her and that she stroke back. Not exactly the description of a "massive battle". Blame DEEN for creative license.

I red liek 4 lines of that "review"

When I red that sakura is "happy go lucky" in S/FN my mind kicked reboot key.

Please contemplate on your actions. 10 years in the mountains should do it.
