OMG, I'm scared. Holy shit, I'm scared. Like many others, I really, really do NOT want Keanu Reeves to be Spike! Grrr.... This better not get screwed up.

Honestly, I think they should pick some hungry up and becoming unknown actors to fill the cast.

Hmmm, another anime "live action" adaption...none of them really ever show much promise, so I'm foreseeing alot of angry Cowboy Bebop fans :P.

Keanu Spiegel go!

AS long as they make him say, 'Whoa' once in the film, my soul will be content. That, or they can hire an actor and not Neo.

Speed Racer, Akira, Dragon Ball Z, now Cowboy Bebop!? Hell, there even making a Thunder Cats Movie as well as a Smurfs.

I believe Hollywood has officially ran out of ideas.

Now they've decided to fuck with our anime.

As Chris Crocker would say,
"LEAVE ANIME ALONE!!!!"

the beauty of anime is that no matter the concept it is possible

any live action movie trying to recreate anime is doomed to fail in my opinion

The idea of Keanu as Spike makes my soul weep with despair. I really hope this is a rumor that does not pan out.

To be fair, a live action version of "Cowboy Bebop" actually MAKES SENSE.

While it's the millionth Hollywood adaptation of a comic book/anime series/Japanese live action movie/manga, it has the potential to be both meaningful and interesting.

Of course, I have serious doubt that any director could replicate what Shinichiro Watanabe did with the series and movie. Who are they going to hire as a director? If I were a producer, I would seriously consider giving Watanabe a shot at it.

Erwin Stoff, film producer of The Matrix & A Scanner Darkly, is developing a live-action version of the popular anime series Cowboy Bebop. In an interview Stoff stated “I’m really excited to be working on it, and it’s in the really early stages. We just signed it the other day.” . He also promised "A real degree of faithfulness" and added, “When I met with them in Japan, one of the first things that I brought up was the experience that we had on A Scanner Darkly, and how hard we worked to remain faithful to Philip K. Dick, and that was our big concern here.” The film is being developed for Fox.

I've saw "A Scanner Darkly" and i think if he follows the same quality that he showed on Scanner he willb e able to make an awesome movie, specially grabing the darker part of Cowboy Bebop.

Indeed it is, I am very sad that it ended with only 2 manga series, 1 anime series, and 1 anime movie.
