| Just a concept I'd like to clarify in this board... When we say "spending on anime" it means spending... On... Anime. On dvds, blue rays, anime per se. Not artbooks, manga, figures, pillows or pocky, isn't it? I mean, merchandise derives from one another, but they are still different. If we are to include everything else I take back my first answer. |

| not much, lol, i have 6 or 7 DVD's, so between Sep 08 to May 09 ive spent roughly £100 on anime DVD's, i hope to buy more soon though, most of my money goes on video games, any spare after that goes on DVD's (anime and non-anime, i watch alot of tv shows) |

Though more recently I've been getting wholesale prices through a friend so get stuff as low as $30 a box sometimes. I only buy boxsets anymore, singles are too expensive and a bother. I do have some R2s though, which cost a lot more. |
| Hmm If anime CON's count then 500 a year sound right since I can haggle the price sometimes or if you go on the last day you can get some deals. All in all I have to say the the fansubs do a way better job on the subbing so i rarely buy DVD's much, maybe movies rather then series/OVA. This year I am only going to 1 CON since money is tight. Oh and Hard drives and blank DVD's |

| Nothing, i tend not to buy anime at the moment in my life. With the expanse of College and living hanging over my head i would rather not spend it on anime. Save it for other things, however once i graduate and hopefully get a job i am indulge myself in buying some of the better series. |

| I don't really spend money for that. It's not that I'm not willing to do so, but to be honest I'm not that anime addicted that I wouldn't survive without my daily anime. And my budget isn't so high currently, being a student and living alone..and what not. So I really just spend my money on stuff that I can't get otherwise. Maybe I've spent like $14 on anime so far....well, better than nothing I guess? The thing is, I do realise that this behaviour is negatively reflecting itself on the anime industry, because it's quite obvious that I'm not the only leecher out there. |
