on one hand by using interceptors, even if an agent where to die they would know what happened, but it still is a invasion of privacy.
and laughing man is back wonder what hes going to do to stir things up?

Interceptors (intercepter), who knew that little device could shakr the whole police force in the GitS universe! Anyway, a little OT, I saw at cyberpunkreview.com an article similar to this about a man who was willing to have a micro camera installed in place of his blind eye!

The GitS reality could be sooner than what would expect!

Amazing Episode.... Just when I thought when will the damned Laughing Man wil appear... Here he comes... For a moment I thought this epi was going to be like the last three... Episodic with no relation to the biggest plot device that's Mr. Laughing Man :P

Yeh!! Me too I always wondered from where that thing came from XD

Privacy.... that's a hard theme... Man having micro cameras implanted on your eyes without you knowing.... That's uncool XD.... Definitely this episode showed us that our privacy, our own moments of solitude, are needed!!!... BTW... Lol at the photos... Especially the one with the girl on a weird pose XD

Fuck, I love that scene where the Laughing Man is introduced. Probably one of my favorite scenes in anime. I also find the concept of interceptors incredibly interesting.

I've been using the logo as my avatar for some site....and now I knew what it means....or what/who it represents at least.

The earlier part of this episode is kinda slow but it gets quite interesting at the end. Well, it is expected since this the first episode of a complex episode ( I just noticed what "stand alone complex" in the title means...is what I like to think), they're building it up for the following episodes unlike the stand alone episodes.

LOL at Togusa's Eureka moment: "The arc of his piss"

I dunno why, but I felt really sorry for Yamaguchi's wife even though she was just a minor character.

I'm starting to like the Tachikoma shorts, lol.

4/5

Episode starts to get into the main plot.
The plot sets aside even the most extreme action, to focus on the reflections and dialogues.
Graphics falling, while the animations are always excellent.
Nothing Tachikoma ...

And thus the plot thickens. I'll reserve judgement on the Laughing Man for now.

The police elite seem to be involved.

The reference to "cyber brains" beings back the question of humanity I had before.

Interceptors are creepy.

Very interesting, I enjoyed the mainly episodic stuff, but I was also waiting for something with an overarching plot.

I wonder how many of these sci-fi + technology plot lines will actually happen in the future. This show seems ahead of its time with those ideas, or at least very forward thinking.

And it's here the overarching Laughing Man narrative kicks in. It starts off rather harmlessly, and then it just hits with full force when a high ranking police officer gets hacked.

I love gits universe but this series fails to give the feeling of that dark philosophic universe that the first 2 film has. It is kinda disappointment to me for the time being. I will continue to watch tho, probably.

The Laughing Man is interesting. He's definitely a highly skilled hacker.

I felt bad for the wife. Losing your partner must be hard.

Also, the interceptors creep me out. Remind me never to get cybernetic eyes in the future.

I'm curious to see where this goes.

Ah, so it's not entirely episodic, and we will have at least this one mini arc spanning for more than one episode. The Laughing Man doesn't appear to be a one-and-done character, but rather one who will have recurring appearances throughout the series; I hope. It may be mainly episodic, but I hope the Laughing Man will always be there lurking in the background.

Interceptors seem really powerful. Not only can they spy to a meticulous degree, but they can manipulate people's senses and motor functions too.
