The history behind the people of Ebisu town and the Smile fruits was done nicely. Toko having to try and help her father with the 'medicine that Usopp sold. Oh man. My heart hurts so much. Sanji and Zoro protecting Toko was freaking awesome... |
| I actually don't care about the pacing. This was a really good episode. This episode got me into tears with Toko and her dad. Also all the anger has been unleashed from everyone's favorite duo at the end. LETS GO BOIS TIME TO FK SUM SH*T UP. |

| Finally after all these years we get to see 'magistrate killer' Zoro and 'soba cook' Sanji back together. Damn those Smile's fruit even bring harm outside the factory to people, can't wait for Zoro or someone else to beat the shit out of the clown shogun Orochi for what he did to Ebisu town people. |

| again an episode which drags on :/ i'm sure we could have the beginning of the fight against Kyoshiro in this episode without it. A cliffhanger with Kyoshiro who repel the attack of Zoro (who was attacking Orochi) could be possible if this episode was not so long, what do you think ? By the way, the emotions was here but explications was what makes the episode long (sorry for my bad english) |

It has been mostly 1 episode = 1 chapter for the longest time. If an episode only adapts like a half of chapter, then thats really bad, like the one with sumo wresling episode in act 1 of the arc. |

| It's Kaido and his soldiers’ decision to do what they do, but Orochi giving them to people starving, what he wanted to get with that, only harm people, damn. Fortunately, Zoro and Sanji are there to save the situation, but Hawkins and Drake are gonna jump in to the action, and that ninjas group too. |

| Man I'm disappointed at the Strawhats. They're all late! Then they just stood there and did nothing. If Luffy was there he would've stomped that waluigi looking mofo Orochi. And now they're gonna fight the enemy after Tonoyasu is dead like what for? So his sacrifice is wasted and everybody will still think there will be a coup? Also 70% of the episode was people laughing, tf was that about toei? |

| Hearing the whole story about Ebisu town and the SMILE fruits makes me so sick. Fuck Orochi. Not in the slightest can I imagine how it must be not being able to express other feelings like sadness or anger. Especially the way Orochi did it makes me furious. It was heartbreaking to see when Toko tried to help her father with the toad balm. But the whole scene was very well done. Without knowing about all of it even Luffy noticed that the reaction of the Ebisu people wasn't normal. I also wished Zoro would had just killed Orochi but holy shit. The way he and Sanji made their entrance to save Toko was one of the most badass I have seen so far. This + the OST "Overtaken" in the background gave me chills. That's why I love One Piece so much. |

Not to mention we will be approaching the "Final arc" of the story and Even oda him self mentions to reread the manga and prepare your self for this one. So it would be a terrible shame if the final arc has pacing issues in the anime for anime watchers expereincing the groundbreaking climax of this series. |

| A very decent ep. tbh. I agree the revealing of the real truth behind SMILE devil fruit and what SAD stood for is really sad, but God damn it was draaaaaaaaaaaged out. It lost half of it's moisture. Nevertheless, it was watchable and somehow enjoyable. Funny to still see the crazy scientist Caesar in the series. He is indeed a piece of scum. Poor Toko even after his father's death, she wasn't able to cry. That is really heartbreaking. Glad that Zoro was able to save her. On another note, Sanji's wanted poster is hilarious |

| So finally we know more about the creation of the SMILE fruit, was interesting even though a bit drawn out again. Next episode we'll see Zoro and Sanji in action, should be good. |

| There's something about the reveal which still doesn't sit right with me. I wonder if it has to do with the cheesy name, the Smile fruit which makes you smile, but fills you with, like the ingredient, SADness. Smiles made of sadness. This is a really stupid point to get caught up on, they were named as a cruel joke to those who had the bad side effects. But I can't fully take it seriously either, it's pretty freaking hilarious. Did Doffy think of that!! Who?! Orochi? Whoever did wins my heart. You sick comedian... Looking at it quite objectively, the starving and poor, children included, were fed a literal torture device. Their lives have been forever scarred, and a man who loved and supported them slaughtered before their eyes. It's genuinely awful, but man does it just not hit me very hard. A story about a man sacrificing himself after waiting with a strong resolve for his time. A man who knows it is his turn and doesn't grimace once at that fact. A man I hope to the gods I can be! That gets me right in the heart. The poor having all of their emotions except for happiness stolen as the one-dimensional, completely irredeemably, comically evil villain tries to shoot a child and laughs about it, a little less. I think it's too abstract for me and leaves me with a sense of dissonance. This isn't criticism just indicating what gets me emotional and what doesn't, well maybe it's criticism about Orochi. Because cowardly, stupid, iredeemable blobs of unjustified power like him or Spandam, while yes exist, are boring to me. They are so cartoonish I am incapable of seeing them as people, as if they are made to just be bad in every conceivable way without giving them a smidgen of respect from the writing. It makes me feel wholly indifferent to what they are and what they do. This kind of villain is totally fine, I just feel an uncomfortable dissonance when I'm supposed to take them seriously and feel anger for their horrible deeds. I suppose that's a pattern, something feeling as though it's too cheesy to unlock my earnest emotions. At the very least, a grieving daughter attempting to use the toad oil, which we laughed at earlier, to heal her dead father did get to me. Comedy always makes tragedy hit harder. And then the Zoro / Sanji save felt dang good too. |
