Ah I'm really happy that everyone got together, dressed up, and ready to give their biggest performance. First half of the episode concentrated on their practicing while the second half shows their talent.

I'm really happy to see how far the Kabuikbu club has come since their formation tbh. Loved the accent, style, and body language of the performance in this episode.

Overall, good show imo. Underrated gem of Spring. 7/10.

No OP. He said no.

lol @ using the reason of fever he brought and as a student (not current young actor) of the school to force him to act.

Current young actor explained that as a professional he got pushed to better there's "senpai", but there's no "senpai" for the club that he has to push harder himself.

After watching, he got lots of detailed and to-the-point instruction, except for ex-rocker guy.

Childhood guy showed smile for the first time when teacher asked if they are having fun.

Summary / Description on the screen during the performance. It was a success.

OP aired as ED.

Edit: I forgot to mention, but unaired ep. coming out in September.

Kurogo, Shin, and Tonbo really went out of their way to convince Jin to join them. After they convinced him, he gave everyone some advice on how to improve themselves, except for Shin, he doesn't like him lol. Their performance was really great. I loved everything about it. Everyone has worked hard to get to where they are.

The payoff was amazing in the finale. Overall, the characters end up much better than they were in the beginning, with Kurogo succeeding in his goal to promote the kabuki club and Akutsu and Ebihara finding some common ground in their work. The individual performances take up a significant part of the episode, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, given that they're meant to show how far the characters have come. Overall, this proves to be a satisfying finale for an entertaining show.

I did not expect a full performance. While I can't say I enjoyed it or can appreciate it I can confidently claim that finale was very satisfying to watch.

It was a really solid final episode for a shaky anime with a fairly unpopular concept. I like the fact that Ebihara finally joined the group but it felt like it took too long to get him involved in the anime for me. I wish we could have seen more of Tonbo's character and maybe some backstory on how he and Kuro became such close friends but that's no to crucial to the show I guess. In the end I didn't hate the anime but much like kabuki itself a lot of people just won't care enough to get invested in the concept or characters. I think it's about a 4/10 overall and I don't expect a season 2 to be coming at all.

If I was one of those new students, I would have been convinced to join the Kabuki club....That performance was really great and I'm so proud of everyone

Overall this anime was very fun and I really have an interest in Kabuki after seeing it through these characters and honestly I wouldn't mind a S2

This series was fantastic, too bad it was underrated.

Kurogo is an amazing protagonist. What makes him so endearing is that he is nothing exceptional per se, but man, he's really decided and always finds a way to get stuff done. Truly a respectable leader in his own way. He's friendly but knows his shit and gets serious when he has to and is a royal badass when he needs to.

Ebihara getting dragged like that was amazing. Although still not warming up soon at the very least he was able to be productive and help the team get better. He will likely warm up to the group in the novels.

The rest of the gang has truly progressed and you can really notice in their animation that they really love what they are doing. Even if they are amateurs they have shifted from skeptical "ok let's try this" to downright "LET'S DO THIS!!!" that's pretty great and the VA were simply gorgeous in that portrayal. I'm no expert in Kabuki but their intonation and dialogue was just fucking fantastic. Pretty sure they must have had a real fun time doing Kabuki like this.

This was truly an amazing piece of series. You would expect the drama to be tense and constant, but it is not. It is really a group of kids doing Kabuki because they like it. A truly charming adventure with normal ups and downs that people can enjoy.

Extremely delightful.

8/10 easy.

Hard to believe that the characters were designed by CLAMP since it does not resemble anything that I have seen from them

Very very good finale for a decent anime, learning about Kabuki and seeing these prestations was far more interesting and entertaining that i would have first thought, this anime transformed from a meh sol with shitty humor and shitty chara design to a strong anime about a very interesting theme, even if the anime wasn't perfect i still hope for a second season with even more prestations!

A very underrated anime for me this season and I truly enjoyed it.
FinallyEbihara joined them and I like how he was giving each of them those advises.
It will really be fun if he will be an official member of the group. Thus, I HOPE THERE IS A SEASON 2!!!!!!

I truly enjoyed this series a lot.
The finale was a gem this season.

I love how the fresh thoughts like subtitles or explanations were added during the kabuki show. Go with the times.

Perfect way to end it. Good job, Studio Deen.

I hope there's more. I want more Kurusu and drama club president interaction but it looks like she graduated.

I'm sad this show was as underrated as it was. Anyone know if it got much recognition in Japan?

While the anime was no where near perfect, I can thoroughly say I enjoyed it. I loved the ED, so I was kinda disappointed the OP was played as the ED in the final episode, but that's not unexpected. I also went into this anime knowing next to nothing about Kabuki, but now I'd be interested in seeing it in person. I think that was the goal in making this anime, so I really hope it succeeds where it counts.

I gave it a 7/10...while that's not super high, I definitely think more people should've watched it.

Oh boy oh boy wasn't this an enjoyable anime. I was fascinated from how I wanted and want more from this anime. It's more than perfect without a second season because (for me at least) was a reminder that there can be good anime in any shape or form. Overall not groundbreaking but still pretty nice one.

Btw that at the end how the club's actors say Kurusu's name and all...I was soo close to fanboying.

Overall, it was enjoyable but nothing special. I stopped watching at around episode 6 and had to pick it back up just to finish it. It wasn't overly exciting and kabuki was a new and interesting concept, but at the end I still really don't think it's for me. The characters were decent enough, and so I'll have to give this a solid 5/10.

Great performance, I hope they recruited a lot of people.
It was really interesting to discover Kabuki through this anime. I knew what Kabuki was, but I never saw a performance before.
The characters were fun and talented, I am looking forward to seeing a second season. (PLEASE)

Great show, wonderful mix of interesting plot and characters. Unfortunately, it's sooo rarely in modern anime. I suppose the graphics are simple, but ok. Highly recommended!

Shin barking at the dog at the beginning was the best scene of the whole anime, lmao. Best boi.
Well, the characters are likeable but the plot is just boring so I'll give it solid 5 out 10.

Those were incredible 5 bandits, that performance was amazing especially Ebihara. Although he's a jerk, I still think he put up a stellar performance. But all credits goes to Kurogo for putting such a great show, that kid worked very hard and those subtitles were very creative on his part. Tonbo is also a great friend for supporting until now.

Too bad they aren't recognized yet as a club, I guess it means it continues. I enjoyed it a lot and I appreciate historical art a lot, this anime has taught me a lot about Kabuki and it was the first time I've heard or seen it. I wish to see the real deal though, if it is still alive. I'm still scratching to how this has the rating lower than 8, because this was enjoyable and was informative. But it is what it is!

8/10.

If this series hadn't been on Amazon Prime I would've never even gave this series the time of day. The last performance was okay but the overall series had probably the most shallow interpretation of a club relationship I've seen in some time. Even comedic ones that are obnoxious have more heart put in them.

There was a reason this never got a second season.

3/10 << Haven't given that score in a long time.
