Why couldn't Oz and Alice leave the abyss with Glen and the others when they killed the other Alice?

The contractor and their chain have a deep connection to each other after a certain amount of time has passed. If one gets hurt, the other feels the pain too. If one dies, the other dies too. (This can be seen both with Philippe's father and his chain and Elliot Nightray with Humpty Dumpty.)

Oz made a contract with Alyss before he killed her and Alice has been in a contract with Oz the entire time.

Additionally, Oz was dragged down into the deepest layers of the abyss because his contract was running out of time. And everyone who gets dragged there dies completely (e.g. Lacie) or becomes a chain themselves (e.g. Miranda Barma) (Break is an exception because he fulfilled the condition to change the past and was able to return with the help of Alyss). The other people that went into the abyss were not its prisoners and had the abilities of Baskervilles, thus they could return normally.

When Oz and Alice said their goodbye to Gil, they were already without a physical body, only the core of the abyss maintaining their souls for a few moments before their real death.

I hope my explanation is helpful for you. I can't 100% guarantee you that everything I wrote is completely right, because it is my own interpretation that is based on my last reread, which has already been a while ago.

I see. Thanks, but how did Oz and Alice lose their physical bodies. ,and since they were cast into the abyss, shouldn't they be outside the cycle of rebirth

Well, Alice already was without a physical body to begin of the series. She died as a human in Sablier, thus loosing her physical body. Only her soul remained and became a chain through the power of the abyss. The physical appearance she has is constructed and maintained by the B-rabbit's powers. That's also the reason why she disappeared into thin air when Oz found out that he is the real B-rabbit.

Oz was theoretically speaking without his real physical body the entire time as well. The plush rabbit he once was, doesn't exist anymore. He was merely possessing Jack's body whom he was contracted to.

The core of the abyss has its own will and can act on it from time to time. The core liked Lacie being there for it, when it was lonely, thus it kept and protected part of her memory and send it to Jack, after she ceased to exist. The core gave live to the children of ill omen and is able to awake inanimate objects to be living beings. The core also rejected Jack's soul, thus he was excluded from the cycle of reincarnation and excluded from becoming a chain, trapping him in an endless loop of deaging and aging up again.
The core of the abyss is the very existence that guides the souls on their 100 year journey before reincarnation. If the core chooses to let someone reincarnate whose soul is still intact, it can do so. The core chose to reunite Alice and Oz with Gil.

Again, this is just my interpretation of the manga and there can be some mistakes because I have last read it 2 years ago.
