| The flashbacks are missing here. It's all present action. Now we see some mage fights. As for Fern's opponents, they are making the same mistake the demons made: of underestimating your opponents. Also, Bruce Lee said you don't need a thousand kicks but a single kicked honed to perfection by practising at least 1000 times. That's the philosophy why Fern only uses basic offensive and defensive spells. |

Frieren reflexiona sobre el hecho de que cada grupo es diferente. Aunque Kanne y Lawine pelean todo el tiempo, trabajan juntos cuando es necesario. Al día siguiente, Frieren y sus dos jóvenes compañeros formulan un plan para atrapar un Schtille. Los pájaros son increíblemente sensibles al maná y no se acercarán a nada que lo emane. Su propio maná es tan débil que sólo los magos más hábiles pueden detectarlo. Con esta información, además de un hechizo de corto alcance para capturar aves, Frieren y su grupo idean un plan arriesgado. Primero, Lawine usa su magia de hielo para congelar todo el lago en el centro del área de prueba. Al mismo tiempo, Kanne corre infundiendo su maná en cada abrevadero. Finalmente, Frieren va a un pequeño estanque libre de maná y usa su habilidad para enmascarar su propio maná. Básicamente se vuelve invisible. En ese estado, espera tranquilamente un Schtille. Finalmente, uno de ellos aterriza sobre su hombro y Frieren usa el hechizo para detenerlo. ¡El Schtille ha sido atrapado!  Desafortunadamente, cualquiera que estuviera prestando mucha atención a la magia en la atmósfera pudo detectar a Frieren nuevamente en el rápido momento en que activó el hechizo. La elfa y sus dos compañeros tienen el pájaro a salvo, pero ahora están siendo atacados por otro grupo de magos liderados por Denken, el hombre de larga barba con monóculo. Mientras tanto, el grupo de Fern tiene el mismo problema. Atraparon un pájaro pero ahora están luchando contra otro grupo de magos que quieren robárselo. Continuará.  Solo tengo algunas respuestas y pensamientos generales que agregar para este episodio. En primer lugar, todavía me sorprende que me gusten Kanne y Lawine y que sean personajes bien escritos. Hay demasiadas series de anime que incluirían personajes femeninos mucho más molestos y superficiales si se les diera una oportunidad similar. Lawine y Kanne, aunque a veces un poco irritantes, son divertidos y lindos.  Los magos que luchan contra el grupo de Fern parecen muy feroces y solapados. Me sorprendió que el hombre de cabello azul pálido, Wirbel, realmente intentara asesinar a Fern. Por otra parte, ese es un movimiento estratégico si se puede decir que ella era poderosa. Ubel probablemente sea un buen rival para Wirbel. No entendí el nombre de la maga morena que lucha contra Fern, pero algo le pasa. Como señaló Fern, ella parece ser la más fuerte, pero oculta ese hecho y deja que Wirbel lidere. Me pregunto qué está planeando.  La filosofía de Denken sobre los magos de primera clase era interesante. Esperaba que fuera el típico tradicionalista del viejo boom. Sin embargo, no está de acuerdo con la postura de la Asociación Continental de Magia de que los magos de primera clase deben ser sometidos a duras pruebas para garantizar su “calidad”. En cambio, Denken cree que lo más importante para un mago de primera clase es ser un símbolo de poder. Si un mago tiene la “calidad” más alta o tiene el mejor nivel de habilidad es irrelevante. Según Denke, lo que importa es su capacidad para desempeñar el papel de líder social equilibrado. Necesitan influir y controlar a las personas. Esta idea puede ser interesada, ya que imagino que Denken es mejor en política que en batallas mágicas. Sin embargo, es una visión que invita a la reflexión sobre los magos en la sociedad.  Mi última nota de hoy se remonta al tema de la introducción: la historia de las criaturas. Estoy impresionado con las criaturas únicas inventadas en este anime. En el episodio 19, aprendimos sobre Geisel: esos monstruos blancos parecidos a pájaros. Infunden magia a los cadáveres y los dejan en un bosque como cebo. Cuando los magos y similares intentan mover esos cadáveres, los Geisel atacan, duplicando así su carne del día. Qué criatura tan brillante y aterradora.  |

| Leave it to Frieren to create the most sophisticated plan to not only guarantee a capture of the stille bird but ALSO deny the other teams the chance to catch one in the first place. Yo let's freeze the entire fucking lake, and imbue some mana on all but one body of water, fuck the other teams! I'm loving it! This is such a selfish plan, it's brilliant! Dreken is as old as he is wise, out of everyone, even Übel or Wirbel, he's the one to watch out for. And judging from his actions, he's also extremely opportunistic, he'd rather steal the stille bird from Frieren's team who's guaranteed to capture one rather than search for one themselves. The usual adventures were fun but this exam is EXCITING! |

| the birds stayed away from the ponds with so little mana in them that its nearly impossible to sense yet that one bird landed on frierens shoulder? she did conceal her mana but even she said "not completely". anyway the fight is on! |

| The way the other mages aren't completely powerless and do have an expected intelligence and power is just great, It shows that even though other mages are indeed extraordinary but Frieren will always be better. Making the fight interesting rather than making it overpowered on one side was too great, I love this anime even more with each episode. |

| Folk magic is loose, spills will cooperate when appropriate. They huddle and pick a fight with every other team. They decide to protect their caged bird by Holding it undisguised and keeping it out in the open. Based on the Noise fern has a nearly full flask, and is not sharing with her teammates, despite lack of water being their main concern. She freezes the whole lake. It generally implies that the continental magic as association bases what a mage should be off of freeren herself. Unless she was only part of killing the demon king, and not the demon king army. He ledges that strength does not mean anything if you cannot act as the symbol. I find this hard to believe. The creature is thirsty. The bird chews the water. Flower pedal magic. Finally, it has gotten interesting again. 4 |

| A nice display of magic by team Frieren freezing over the main water source with many teams not knowing what to do, giving them a better chance to catch this very speedy bird. Along with the orange haired girl pouring mana into more water holes to even down were the bird will go. Team Fern is in trouble as there under attack by another team who wants to steal there bird. Fern is one hell of a mage now with very speedy defense techniques and very speedy attacks its honestly very impressive how fast she can cast spells. Land the man with the glasses is smart wanting to keep in the shadows and wants to wait it since they have the bird already, though Ubel wants to go out and fight people. This other man with glasses Denken is quite a smart lad with how he knows what to do and how he can since the slightest bit of mana in the water pools well the other people of his group cant. I cant wait to see how powerful he is and what kind of spells he has. |

| THIS WAS INTENSE. Sousou no Frieren is back stronger than ever. Enjoyed this episode much more than the last one, the spark is here again! I'm really excited to see how things will play out, and also really enjoyed the plans and the other teams perspective on the issue too. Fern's team actually got the bird quite easily, but another team tried to steall it as easily. That girl doesn't know who's she's messing with when fighting against Fern. And I feel like the other guy will also have a hard time with Ubel. Will Frieren and her team be able to defeat that mages party? The other mage was quite fast indeed. I will need to watch the next episode right now honestly xD Edit: Quite harsh for the exam to take place in such a dangerous place, leading to the death of many mages... |
| Amazing arc, keeps getting better and better. Need to see how this ends, always great to have a tournament arc but this one's on open land, much more realistic and old school. This anime good. |
| Frieren and her squad starts to set our their plan for getting a Stille. Meanwhile one of the teams start attacking Fern's squad. |
