| I think Unicorn has unusually long dialogues, probably the longest of all Gundams, but that's what I liked about it. Also a lot of great characters from previous series make another appearance. |

| Unicorn was already slow paced but this is really killing it I really liked that they translated the speech in the background that was a really nice detail not sure if the original unicorn did that too |

| It's nice that they are redrawing scenes and adding new stuff eventually, but it's really going to feel awkward for newcomers, considering the story was paced around the OVA format, so just stopping in the middle of the episode will of course feel awkward. It might end up being the definite version once it's complete, since marathoning will fix that issue. |

The optimal way to watch it is to watch the original MSG/The compilation movie trilogy(the latter is more recommended), then Zeta, then ZZ(though if you want you can skip this one, though a certain major character from Zeta doesn't have their story concluded till within it) then CCA, then Unicorn. Though if you don't want to watch 50-100 episodes of seventies and eighties anime, you can still mostly understand Unicorn without viewing the prequels. |

To be perfectly clear, "mostly understand" might be an overstatement. You can follow more or less what's going on, but you'll miss the significance of much of it unless you at least know a lot about the previous history of the Universal Century, because this series is basically ABOUT resolving that history. |

| That ending is gorgeous. Banagher saving Audrey always reminded me of that scene from the original Macross.. I'm glad the episode ended with Banagher's offer to help so they aren't compressing the anime. |

| So this is just the Unicorn OVA as a TV series? This is about as pointless as Break Blade as a TV series... I think I'll pass. If I want to watch Unicorn again, I'll just watch Unicorn again. |

| A socially apt aspiring engineer as hero this time? But the tradition of the missing/bad father figure is preserved. The mecha fight wa snice but made the start a bit heavy. First thing I noticed: after ZZ and Char's movie (and some parts of Zeta), I like the return to the original chara-design style. For the suits, the long haired woman's robot reminded me all those Neo-Zeon late armors with elytra (ZZ). And the Federation soldiers are still using those little Nemo? Is the narrator voice supposed to be recognized or is there nothing special? (I was kind of expecting someone from one of the first series to get the job) 3/5 The conspiration part (if I understood right) seems promising, I hope the war/politics aspects are returning on the front scene. |

| That scene with Banagher and his dad feels so out of place at the start of this episode. Makes it seem like he is having a flashback instead of it alluding to something that we will see later in the series. This is far from a good episode, most of the other Gundam series I have seen have handled their first episode much better than this. The first episode of the OVA was a lot better even with lower quality animation. |
