Enjoy? I LOVE NieR: Automata. It's just the soundtrack does it for me. :(
But I'll continue from where I stopped. I rather turn the background music off. |

This soundtrack, "NieR: Automata OST - City Ruins (Rays of Light)" makes me feel sad inside to this day. I stopped play NieR: Automata because of it. Never finished the game.

hahah i totally feel you on the turning the brain off thing, sometimes i just want to ignore any flaws and just ~vibe~ with the plot. tbh idrk why i started watching ouran, as it's so out of the sphere of what i normally watch. i might've also been able to smooth over the twins, but i was also watching it with my brother and was just like "!!!!! ahhhhhHHHH !!! abandon ship!!!" and left it in the dust haha. I'll probably end up rewatching devilman crybaby tho as it's a little more up my alley and everyone else really enjoyed it?? that is if i can actually convince myself to start a new series instead of just rewatching series i've already completed -_-

no no no, totally fine!!! i think i definitely have the unpopular opinion when it comes to those shows haha. with ouran, the incest twins just threw me off so much that i couldn't finish watching it :/ like every time they came on the screen, i got so creeped out that i had to drop it tbh. just not for me i suppose. for devilman crybaby, i started watching it when it had justtt come out and it was very hyped up. but when i was watching it, i thought it was kinda boring? like almost edgy for the sake of being edgy and i just couldnt get into it. i have been debating on actually finishing it and seeing if it gets better since it's been a few years now since i dropped it, and maybe my tastes have changed. pretty much anything i drop gets rated a 5 bc i almost never drop anything since i hate leaving a series unfinished. so dont let my low ratings deter you from watching them if you were initially interested in them!!

Oi, they're not that terrifying, come on!
Oof, not too sure anymore. I know a few people asked me a while ago, but I'd say 1- Maybe 3-4 hours (I was still getting used to the bbcode for that). 2 and 3 - Maybe an hour each. 4 - Back to 3 hours because of all the gifs and videos (some are probably broken I know haha). |

i was reading your review on hyperventilation and was like "lol same" bc i too had NO clue what was happening when i was watching it, but then i saw your bio. and oh lord, literally same? if i look at a bad review on an anime i really like, I'm like "wow, neverminded this anime sucks now i guess". it's like the negative review just absolutely soils anything i initially enjoyed :( so now i just refuse to look at the reviews if i like something, absolutely tragic

Mawaru Penguindrum is amazing. Filled with heavy symbolism and social commentary, it manages to make a compelling case for itself. The characters are great and are deftly placed into the story to make the most out of them as well as the story.
It has tackles questions such as what makes a family, a family; religion; if you could choose your fate would you, or do you not even have a say; and has many other subtle but effective themes. |

Well... unfortunately there's not really an easy answer to that question. Basically F/SN is based on a visual novel originally which has three story arcs in it: Fate, Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel, and they're only playable in that order because even though they don't take place in the same timeline, some of their plot events would retroactively spoil things for the other arcs if read in any other order
Now the problem is that for their respective anime versions, the old 2006 adaptation of the Fate arc is quite poorly handled. By itself it's a pretty average anime. So as an anime-only viewer you're in a bit of an awkward position because you're left with the choice of either a) having to sit through a mediocre show in order to get to the much better adaptations of UBW and HF afterwards, or b) you just skip it and go to the rest right away, but then you'll probably miss out on a couple things story-wise instead. I guess I could say that no you don't have to watch Fate in order to watch UBW, but ideally you should, so to speak. It's a bit of a balancing act what you find the most worthwhile yourself |
