Don't worry about it, and thank you for accepting it, it is nice to meet you too C:
How are you doing? Nice Kaoruko profile picture; she is such a wholesome and lovely character. The Natsume art is also amazing, it is one of the best series ever. I hope there will be more seasons in the future. I noticed you read the Three Days of Happiness, is the manga adaptation accurate? I enjoyed that manga a lot, although the final chapters were a bit unnecessary. Are you excited, or worried, about the anime adaptation of Omniscient Reader? I noticed you also like video games, specifically indie; have you played Omori? I played Hollow Knight some time ago, but I got lost in the tunnel. By the way, did we meet before? I am sure I was talking with someone with a Kaoruko's profile picture some time ago. |

Definitely! I don't have much free time right now to watch a lot anyways, but I'm enjoying it a lot again, so I'll definitely be catching up soon!
Oh for sure, new horror anime are a rarity to come by nowadays, and when they do come out they usually suck. The most recent horror release I remember actually enjoying was Dark Gathering in 2023, and even that one wasn't really anything super special. Looking into older anime there also really isn't that many shows to pick from that are actually scary. I think horror is just really difficult to translate into animated form compared to manga, take the adaptations of Junji Ito's works for example. I do have really high hopes for The Summer Hikaru Died that's coming out in a few months though! I've been following the manga for a good while now and it's super intriguing, hopefully the anime does it justice. Yeah 2015 was a crazy year for indie gaming, it's hard to believe it's already been 10 years. I didn't actually play it myself until a few years ago lol, just used to watch playthroughs when I was younger. Definitely would go for Deltarune (totally unbiased opinion cough), the new chapters are out in less than a week xD I think I might replay chapter 1 and 2 myself first before I start the new ones. Definitely agreed! I think my favorite so far is Shikishima, hoping she gets a fully dedicated episode, she's so funny xD I'm honestly not sure! I haven't read either manga myself, but if you do find out I'd love to hear it :> And yeah, Anne Shirley is great, perfect blend of wholesome and drama in my opinion, never too much of either. I just hope it doesn't become super rushed since it's only half the runtime of the original anime, but we'll have to wait and see! Since this is my first impression of the series anyways it might not be as noticable to me as it'd be to someone who's seen the original anyways. |

That it has this many seasons is already a great thing considering how many shows go without a season 2, so I'll gladly wait for more seasons as long as they keep coming lol.
Yeah let me know your thoughts if you want, it's S3/Aria the Origination which gets the most acclaim (you'll see why) but the first 2 seasons have a lot to offer as well. Ohh Monogatari is a top 3 show for me, admittedly the dialogue/stylistic choices may not be for everyone but if you like Bake you'll probably like the rest too. Hope you enjoy it! |

And now I'm all caught up - don't really have anything unique to say about S7 but I especially liked the episode with Reiko at the end, any episode focused on her is automatically great. Now the wait for season 8 begins, I'll be there for it day 1 even if it takes several years to come out but the sooner the better :)
Love the new pfp! Thanks! On that note, since you're also an SOL fan I'm sure you'd love Aria. |

I'm slowly catching up with my seasonals! But yeah, relatable, normally my completed list goes up with around 100 entries a year but I don't think I'll make it this year lol
It definitely wasn't super common yeah, and even then most of the time it would be something like a visual novel getting adapted, besides Corpse Party and Angels of Death, I don't think there even are any other rpg horror adaptations out there. I would love to see more of them though! I'd give anything to see Ib and Witch's House getting an anime lol It's inspirational honestly lol, I don't think any indie game had as much of an impact than Undertale did. Sure there's some other well-known ones like Omori or Stardew Valley, but I can't really think of any that reached the same scale as Undertale has. Basically everyone and their mom has at least heard of that game by now, if not played it. Oh I do that aswell! I'm always super indesicive on what to watch so I usually just randomize a title from my PTW. Sometimes I also just pick whatever is at the top or bottom of my list, makes it much easier than to sit there trying to choose something for like an hour lol Yesss Mono is fantastic! I definitely love all the Yuru Camp references too, it's really fun that they're taking place in the same universe. Makes me wonder if we'll get any Mono references in the upcoming Yuru Camp season. Forgot to mention, but I actually am also really enjoying Anne Shirley at the moment! Caught up with it today and it totally pulled me back in again, I even went and bought the original novel it's based on. Might have to watch the original adaptation aswell someday. II did actually consider picking up Apocalypse Hotel when it started airing but ultimately decided against it because I already had so much in my list, but I might have to watch it after it finishes airing sometime then! Will definitely add it to my PTW :> I haven't seen Shoushimin S1 myself, so I'd have to watch that first, but seeing it's only 10 episodes I might give that a try aswell hehe |

Took longer than expected but I finished season 6. While it's the same formula as always, I never get tired of it and here it's still as great as ever. I love seeing the payoff of Natsume revealing his secret to Natori at the end, and it also sets up more mysteries with Reiko and his grandfather. Only one more season left :/

thanks, i feel like i have to add more to that section, there are def more sweet moments i have seen/read.
Yeah same, the trailer looked good tho, tho it woul be better to see the final trailer and i still worry bc cloverworks is releasing other huge anime, on the same season like my dressup darling and the sequel of bunny girl senpai. Hopefully they can deliver on kaoru no hana. Its going to be interesting experiencing that part of the story once again. Sure, its a character from FLCL, from the now defunct gainax studio, some of the staff are the ones who founded studio trigger. |

Nice to meet other fellow kaoru no hana fan, are you excited for the anime? |

CamomiIe | May 23, 9:08 AM
Thank you!! Yeah I've been kind of slacking on my anime intake the last few months, normally I watch wayyyy more, slowly getting back into it though! I have to catch up with all my seasonals now;;
No worries, no rush at all! I totally get that, my queue is super long aswell. Corpse Party is originally a game yeah! It was adapted into a short (and pretty bad) 4 episode OVA series, overall the game's much better, but the anime is definitely way more gore heavy because everything is animated (I don't know how I wasn't traumatized as a child, seriously) Yeah I believe he did some music for an Earthbound hack and Homestuck before he started working on Undertale. Pretty crazy to think about, he went from this small indie creator to composing music for the Pokemon games. Deltarune is really fun so far! I played the first two chapters when they came out and I lovedddd them, can't wait to see where the story goes in the next two chapters. Might replay the first two aswell just to really get back into it. I definitely recommend giving them a try once they do come out! As for Celeste, I'll give it another try when I can get around to it! Once I get used to the controls it might be a little easier on me lol. That's super impressive though, I've heard that it's actually a notoriously difficult platformer at times Relatable xD Such is the fate of discovering a form of media that just has too many hours of good content to offer. Definitely did not know what I was getting myself into when I started getting into anime lmfao-- You're absolutely right though! I think I'll take one of my unread books with me when I go on holiday in a few months and read it then, and if I can't choose what to read I might just grab a random one without looking. First world problem solved. Ooo lets see! I think I'd have to say Mono for now. I don't know how they managed it but it feels just as cozy as Yuru Camp despite being a pretty different setting. I know it's by the same author so I had some expectations but since the manga wasn't that highly rated I was a bit worried it'd fall flat compared to Yuru Camp, but I really love it! It's super fun but it still has that cozy feeling. I also really like Hibimeshi, wasn't gonna pick it up initially but I actually quite enjoy gourmet shows. Hope it can keep up the pace for the rest of it's episodes, but P.A. Works' originals are usually kind of a hit or miss from what I can tell but this one seems to be doing well for itself so far! How about you? Any favorites so far? |

CamomiIe | May 21, 4:03 PM
Wish it lasted longer! It's full-on back to college now xD My school year's almost over though... So that's a plus! Also finally getting back into the groove of watching anime :D
I hope you still like it regardless of it being a horror! If I remember correctly there's maybe one or two scenes I'd consider actual jumpscares, but then again I've seen it so many times that they aren't even jumpscares to me anymore, so some scenes might feel different for first time viewers ;; I think I'm one of the few honestly! I mean, technically my first anime was probably Pokemon or something, but since I didn't know what anime was back then I don't really wanna count that, so I do consider the very first anime I watched to be Corpse Party. Pretty funny story of how I got into that aswell xD Very big Youtuber I watched at the time did a playthrough of it (I loveddd RPG horror games back in the day), I found out it had an anime, I watched it, the rest is history. Ohhh that sounds super fun! Could really enhance the experience of the manga if the soundtrack goes well with the stuff you're reading! Same absolutely! Toby Fox never misses with his soundtracks, I already know the new Deltarune chapters coming out later this year are gonna have some fantastic tracks aswell. That reminds me I definitely need to finish Celeste! I'm so bad at platforming games sobs;; But I've heard really good things about it so I'm determined to get through it somehow. Oh that's awesome! Wish I could be as dedicated lol, I have so much so much to catch up on I'm kind of in a limbo where I'm overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stuff I need to read to the point I end up reading nothing;; That's super impressive though! I can definitely imagine it's easier to pick up once it becomes a part of your daily routine. |

Not to sound repetitive lol, but S5 was another great season. Some parts that I really liked were the continuation of the exorcist storyline with more depth to Natori as well as Shigeru and Touko getting an episode which was nice to see, they're so wholesome.
Also noticed the studio changed but it all felt the same as usual thankfully. |

Taynix | May 17, 6:04 PM
Finished Natsume season 4 - another excellent season with all that I've grown to love from the series. The last few eps in particular were great, as Natsume returns home and learns to accept his past, while looking forward to his future with his new loved ones.

|
Taynix | May 13, 3:04 PM
Yeah I'll do that, honestly while I've liked each season a bit more than the last it's been quite consistent in quality so there's not one I like much more than the others. With season 3 it was great as usual, Natsume's continued growth as opens himself up was amazing and I especially liked the episodes with him and Tanuma/Taki.

It's fantastic, a nice blend of wholesome and chill iyashikei with some drama, I've really enjoyed all the episodic stories plus Natsume is a great protagonist who you really can't help but root for as he develops. It's still pretty early, but it's quickly become one of my favorites.

There is also the chronological order but it doesn’t make much sense lol, it’s so weird ending off the series at hanamonogatari (which is in a time skip for some reason)
I think you’d love both styles too! The movie is quite CG heavy but it has some of the most bombastic CG animation out there. Ty, I really like gushing about series I enjoy |
|
GentleDragonite | May 12, 7:47 PM
Release order is very solid, that’s what I did. However, I personally think that the series might make more sense if you watched it like this:
Bakemonogatari Kizumonogatari trilogy Then follow release order. Nisemonogatari Nekomongatari: Kuro Monogatari Series: Second Season Hanamonogatari Tsukimonogatari Owarimonogatari Season 1 Koyomimonogatari Owarimonogatari Season 2 Zoku Owarimonogatari The only problem with this order is that there is quite a big difference between the visual styles of kizumonogatari and the rest of the series, so it might be a little difficult to get back into the series after them. However, it is Like a prologue series that I feel gives very important content to the rest of the series. (And I personally think the visual style of the movie is one of the best in anime). Enjoy! P.S. cool little notes you have on your list, was a good read |
