At least by not going to the Sept. one, you'll miss the massive heat wave that is also part of the con=_= It's alot more tolerable in Jan. because it's not 100 degrees above DEATH outside. And they're gonna move the con from the hotel it's usually at to the Sacramento convention center. So it'll be alot roomier as well. |

Most likely just September, ALA(AnimeLA) is going on at the same time as the Sacanime(Jan) one. So there is usually hardly anyone At Sac during that time. And I was gonna try to go to ALA myself. |

I am so bumbed!! I missed this year's Fanime!! T-T Ugh!! But hopefully next year I'll make it. And I'll be going to SacAnime in January because I already have something else going on in the weekend of September for that SacAnime. |

Cons make big holes in my wallet T^TI've been going to Fanime since '07 xD BTW if anyone knows where I can get any FLOW t-shirts from last year, please let me know D: I was really stupid to not buy anything from the FLOW counter, which could have also gotten me a photo op with FLOW aggghhh |

Yeah once a year just isn't enough=_= There are a few other conventions I might go to just to fill the void in the meantime though. And I cosplayed as a Shinobi, in my opinion I had the best ninja cosplay there(not to sound conceited but I made sure to have as authentic a outfit as possible) I even had a ninja pouch to store my poison powder and smoke bombs...Ok I didn't have those but did have the pouch filled with snacks. And the reason for the chair....I'm too nice so I let my friends have the bed=_= |

I had a fun time, honestly this is the most i've done at the con in all the years i've gone. I finished my cosplay and wore it around during the day. And at night I ran around and did "ninja things". The rave's were pretty fun too. I even learned how to shuffle all in one night. On one of the days me and a few friends roamed the San Jose University campus and had some fun there...I got into a dance battle at Stage Zero..uh I can't even remember all the stuff I did(it was so much more now that I think about it) One problem was that I don't remember sleeping much at all, and when I did it was on this uncomfortable chair that I was too tall for some my neck would be killing me when I woke up=_=...haha fun times.Sorry for the rant, how about you? How was your Fanime2011(. ?_? .) |

@Chibi-kirin Wow you got alot of them planned out, and here I am having trouble just picking one ~_~. I'm planning on just doing the Shinobi no mono(Ninja) and i'm still working on the outfit, though I've enlisted the help of a friend seeing as I can't really sew>,> But it's hard for me to meet up to get any really work done seeing as I work overnights(I'm nocturnal) and my friend has school. Though even with all that aside it's still coming along pretty nicely and SHOULD be done in time..If not then...I'll wear it next year i guess(.^_^.)b@Atikal Nice cosplays(haha...Higurashi brings back memories) It's good that you're trying out several cosplays, I think last year there weren't enough people who were doing that. Personally I lack the skill/determination/patience to go for multiple cosplay. Not to mention it's hard to find one I can actually pull off...But when I think about it i'd have to say it may be for the best because I get waay into character and wont come out of it until I take off my costume. When I cosplayed as Dosu(from Naruto) I stayed hunched over the whole time I wore the outfit.Which was for at least 5-6 hours. Even after doing that all day, I still went to party at the Rave all nite...my back never stood a chance.....ahh it was fun during but not so much after(.=_=.) |
