Like the Tales franchise? A few members and I have started a new Tales club dedicated to providing fans with a one-stop news site featuring the most current Tales information. The site also focuses on Tales discussion for all Tales games. Check it out here

your probably right kuyukly

It could still make sense. I still say "in a month" when in actuality something will occur in a month and a couple days.

Two years and a month? I'd still just say two years, personally.

@BlazinDevil: Aselia is actually the name of the world in Phantasia. When the worlds split the each adopted their own names: Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. But the joint world is now called Aselia once again. In other words, the world was originally called Aselia before its split. The name Iselia may have been adapted from Aselia, as the name could have been carried down and changed from generation to generation.

@kachosen576:To be honest, the writers probably didn't even take any of that into consideration when they wrote the script for the game. I wouldn't be surprised if they had made a mistake. But still, 765 is only 30 days over two years, so it could make sense if it the years were longer like you said. Just how much longer is the real question.

BlazingDevil | Apr 22, 2009 5:13 PM
so the world is called aselia... they so ripped of iselia for the name<_<

kachosen576 | Apr 21, 2009 9:28 PM
the Aselian calendar yr spans a little over 365 days..when i played tales of phantasia the in-game text during play explained that the full calendar yr extended beyond 365..its not sure how many days exactly

also since ToS is a prequel and the same calendar yrs apply in this game (supposing nothing happened to the length of months and days in ordinary Aselian timeline after separation of the worlds)..did that even make sense lol..sorry

feder | Apr 21, 2009 6:11 PM
He might have had it before Aselia was formed. But really, it's probably something they never really thought about. Also, the span of time may be different in Aselia, so two years may be a lot longer there than it would on Earth. That's the cop out answer, anyway. XD

I have a question. D: so for people who finished the game:

BlazingDevil | Mar 30, 2009 7:30 AM
I am kinda ticked they took out the world map but I guess it's still okay. I like the world map because it adds another layer of depth to the game play and makes it feel more real

cleofriskey | Feb 24, 2009 11:55 AM
I'm so glad that they didn't do the world map! I didn't like that at all in the first one. I twas annoying... Add I could never find places! I think it's easier and better that way.

feder | Jan 10, 2009 7:54 PM
I don't think so, but I am not 100% sure.

Asrialys | Dec 28, 2008 6:28 PM
Did the game come with a registration code for Nintendo.com? Keep forgetting to ask.

feder | Dec 26, 2008 10:15 PM
They could have once or twice, but having it at every town just seems kind of lame.

Anyway, there are a great number of RPGs that don't use a world map, so I never really understood why it is a problem.

AngryButler | Dec 26, 2008 12:03 PM
Yeah, but they could have had another thing like in the first game where a traveler would ask you to escort him, couldn't they? Maybe just have a priest guy in each town that lets you "escort him" to any town you've already been to.

Unison attacks depend on your element chart. If you have a dark element and a light, your light and dark element will join you in the unison attack. Your ice monster, however, will not.

The lack of a world map is sad, but I think it's for the best. You travel back and forth so often it would become tedious if you had to travel across a world map.

Asrialys | Dec 21, 2008 6:36 PM
It can sense my controller. But since I'm not used to playing along with the nunchuck (even with over 99 hours of Twilight Princess :P), I kept confusing Z and B. And Emil jumps so freaking high.

Also, are Unison attacks just random?

It seems that this game left little to none of the customizable aspects from the first game, except in regards to monsters.

And I miss my adventures through the overworld :P

KatsuraRen | Dec 21, 2008 4:38 PM
I wish there was a way to check your total grade before you beat the game though. Or is there?

feder | Dec 21, 2008 1:54 PM
@Asrialys: Are you at a location where the sensor bar can pick up the Wii remote's action? That was a problem for me a couple of times.

The game seems to be a little harder than Symphonia, but they're much more gracious with the grade in this game.
