Many of the romantic anime and manga series that you see today seem to lack one very important and key element...EMOTION. Thr Start of Nobuko and Youtas relationship had to be some of the most heartfelt moments of any manga series I've ever read. As I read my way through the beginning of volume 3 I just couldn't get over how real the emotions felt and level of intensity each page carried as their relationship grew. I actually found myself rooting for Nobuko more so than I was for Ai. I didnt like that the ova skimmed over that entire section of the story. Hopefully one day another production company( maybe Production I.g. again?) Will come along and give the series the full on anime adaptation that it rightfully deserves. |
