Takayama sisters in Haganai. Maria's 10 years old, so she's a bit like Rebecca Miyamoto in Paniponi:

Denpa Kyoushi - manga

He looks a bit like Negi mixed with the otaku-ness of Keima from The World God Only Knows. He starts a job as a high school physics teacher.

So, I got a new teaching job at a (sort of) inner city school, and have a lot more students who are anime fans. It's quite a bit different from the old school. The job still sucks balls though.

posted some more teacher suggestions!

I'd do an afterschool club, but I'd make sure the students were the ones advertising it and not me.

Dodecahedron-O24 | Dec 31, 2011 6:48 PM
Martin, not even if it were an afterschool club? Sometimes you need to teach them about it. I know I had to learn about the Japanese culture since I grew up in a farming community. The only animes I ever saw was Kimba and Speed Racer.

I teach high school math. Considering that I teach in a super-redneck school, there is no way I am ever showing any anime to my classes. I know I have a few students who are fans, but the majority of them would have no clue what was going on, think I was crazy, and then treat me even crappier than they already do.

@Angus

Wel, not exactly anime clips butl I showed some parts of "Emma" manga to my students to show them how the English lived in the Victorian Era.

Yeah, they studied "Gulp & Gasp" by a playwright, whom I forgot his name
