Between reading Elaina the LN and Elaina the Manga definitely read the LN. The Manga is done by different artist and although it is still entertaining reading Elaina's adventures, it does not look like Elaina like how Elaina really looks in LN and anime. Also LN you get more stories since each chapter is a different story. Better value.

Ok I see, yeah seem like they wanted to take different direction in anime versus manga. Which is usually never a good idea

With Chainsaw Man, it wasn't something I was planning to watch because of the premise of the manga, but rather it was because of the Woof Woof for Makima XD However I ended up liking Power more after watching.

The "Chainsaw Man" anime follows the manga's plot very closely. A few scenes might be added or omitted every now and then

This specifically
I don't think they did a good job in deciding what to cut and what to extend for the most part

Example:

An early manga scene didn't make the cut

Omitting the scene they mention in this point wasn't a good move as it takes away from Denji's character developement

The anime reveals Aki's pet peeve

While how they extended the scene mentioned here adds to Aki's character

So there was some good among all the mess, i think the parts the anime did best was the slice of life stuff, but whn it came to scenes that could've developed the characters outside of the SOL scenarios i don't think they got one bit right
