Hands of the Ancient: RP

For many centuries, people believed in something higher and more powerful, something they would call "God". However, some people knew that it was the Ancient - a powerful spiritual entity, from which we all are born, and where we all go after death. Those who knew this truth, were able to use mana - spiritual energy emitted by the Ancient. In total, there were 8 of these people, who were later known as the Great 8. These people decided to take control over the Ancient. By combining their power, they were able to summon it. Then, something unexpected happened: the Ancient was destroyed. Each mana user got a shard of the Ancient. In order to get the Ancient one must collect all 8 shards together, thus, kill the other 7 that has it. That was the first Hands of the Ancient competition. Now, every 50 years, same happens: 8 people receive shards, one kills the 7 others, and becomes a God for 50 years. Also, the 8 people chosen seemed to be descendants of the Great 8, forming 8 different clans of mana users. In addition to mana use, mages can summon Tools, powerful beings from another dimension that inspired our mythology. As the time passed, some rules were added to make things easier. 1. the competition would take place in the group of islands called Gasirei, which consists of 10 islands. 2. the competitors cannot involve other people into fight, and cannot expose magic to normal people, as only 2% of population are magicians.
