Each Mamodo needs a human partner in order to use his or her spell book, a book that seals the powers of the Mamodo. When read aloud, the spells are cast by the Mamodo producing many effects. If the spell book is burned, the Mamodo is forced to return to the Mamodo world, and they lose all claim to the position of the Mamodo king. While the spells in each book typically are different for each Mamodo, there are Mamodo that share spells as well if they are related. The human and their Mamodo gain these spells through experience and hard work. The last Mamodo standing without their book burnt is the new Mamodo king. Each Mamodo is different, some being mere children, while some are actually animals. Each book differs in color depending on the Mamodo, just like their powers do. and each one will protect their books with their lives. Some have extra powers besides the ones in their books, abilities that could allow them to float and fly, or even control others emotions. Now the Mamodos are on Earth, and the fight for the next Mamodo king is on. The Mamodos search for partners, and in this world, anyone one who can read your book. Some will use their powers for evil to get what they want, others for good so they can be a honest and fair king. So perhaps they’ll find a partner that was a match made in heaven. Or perhaps they’ll both hate each others guts, but somehow manage to work out their differences later on. Perhaps the Mamodo will try to control their partner, or perhaps some might even come to love their partner. Okay you all know the story of Zatch bell Right? No? Okay here it is. Zatch Bell Is a demon/Mamodo child. They have a contest every thousand years to see who shall be the new king of their world. Well it's been a thousand years since Zatch has become the king. Who will be the new king? How long will this war keep on? How many innocent lives will be put at stake because of the different powers each child has? So, what will you be? A kind king?
