I'm gonna learn how to draw on the computer, cause my method of drawing and scanning is so... stone-agey. I'll get back to drawing once I can do that. Then It'll look better ^^

I was drawing page 3, but then winter break started and I really have no motivation to draw.(My motivation at school was the fact that I didn't wanna do class work :P)

I may get some done, but we probably won't see a page 3 until school comes back T-T

lol, of course, the whole point of this club is because I'd rather draw a groups collection of ideas rather than just my own.

The idea with splitting the meganekko's stereotypes between two bodies really came from the Minami/Yutaka and Amane/Hikari type relationships, which I find extremely cute. Only, I hate the Yutaka and Hikari type characters, so I thought I'd make them more interesting. I kept their cuteness and innocence but also made her smart so that she didn't come off as the useless idiot.

So what do you think the next characters to be introduced should be? We cant' bring in the playgirl yet cause I wanna establish the current group of friends before bringing in outsiders.

don't worry about it, you answered the both questions.
I didn't want to be the first other to respond, because my story telling methods are different from most others and I have a western style to story telling, (I know it sounds obvious because I from the U.S. but most people that are into manga creation want an eastern story design)
I don't like the idea of using established archetypes, and just mixing the body's, I rather use basic idea's for the characters and deeply seeded complexity. I don't know if I'm making any sense to you. should I continue with my explanation?

Hmmm, i'm not completely sure what you mean by "scope of the setting", but if this answers your question: the beginning of the story will probably take place mostly in their school, for ease of introducing new characters, but once all the characters are established, we can start showing their lives outside of school.

Anyway, I think I have an idea for the next characters that'll be added. Instead of having a generic Meganekko, I think it would be better to divide it's two most prominent qualities(smart and timid) between two characters. There can be a tall, timid girl, who's always with a smart but lively freshman girl. And if we make her skip a grade to get into high school, that'll take care of our obligatory loli too.

What do you guys think about that? Oh, and any ideas on how they could be introduced? I'm eager to start drawing again...

what comes next in your story design process? everyone does it differently. mine would dictate, that you determine the; setting then the scope of the setting then general character concept's, then story telling technique (1st person 3erd person) then...
well I could continue, but there wouldn't be a point (I got carried away as it is) because that's my process it works form but It may not for others. ^_^; (especially working with a group)
So I'll try asking some questions to see what we are dealing with. first of all, what is the setting and the scope of the setting?
