Ever 17: The Out of Infinity

Information
This should be required reading for anyone interested in the visual novel world. "Ever 17 is the tale of seven individuals who come to be trapped within the underwater marine theme park, LeMU, 51 meters below the surface. During an apparently normal day at the park, a massive accident happens, placing almost half of the facility underwater. The path to the surface and the communication lines are cut off. In addition, LeMU is under constant assault by severe water pressure, limiting time to find a means of escape to 119 hours. Escape is not the only concern, however; many questions arise as to the legitimacy of the accident and whether or not those trapped there were brought there for a purpose. As the situation grows more desperate, the people trapped inside LeMU grow closer. They begin to uncover the answers to mysteries about themselves, LeMU, and the situation itself. As the end of LeMU grows nearer, so too do the mysteries and relationships forged by the situation grow deeper. Ultimately, it is up to the characters not only to survive, but to discover the truth behind LeMU and themselves as well." **NOTES ON SPOILERS** Due to the nature of the story, please do not post pictures, or discuss spoilers openly. Written spoilers can be discussed, as long as marked, but I would ask that no one post pictures of the spoil-y nature. Thanks!

Higurashi/Umineko also worth mentioning if you want plot twists.

That being said, look high and low as much as you like, but what Coco's route brings in terms of shock factor can't really be found in any other visual novel that I'm aware of.

@ Complexity In terms of VNs with big story twists then an obvious example for a similar VN would be G Senjou no Maou (The Devil on G-String)

@Complexity:

- 999: Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors
- Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward (continuation of 999, but you don't have to have played with 999)
- Remember11 the age of infinity
- Steins;Gate
- Ghost Trick (not a VN, but has cool story twists)

I also recommend all of the Phoenix Wright games. They don't really have supernatural stuff, but are full of really great twists

I just finished this, and I loved it.

Can anyone give me recommendations for VNs similar to this?
Just for reference, I haven't played many VNs in general. The only ones I've played so far other than Ever17 are Fate/Stay Night, Kira Kira, Narcissu and Shikkoku no Sharnoth.

When you obtain the "secret" route, I'll spoil things you don't understand if needed plox.
