Ryou Ishikawa (石川 リョウ)A 36-year old novelist and minimalist who has a crush on Tachibana Yomogi.He made his writing debut at 20 and was the youngest to win the Nogawa price at 25. His works have been adapted into movies twice. Ishikawa first fell for the cheerful and energetic act that Tachibana puts on for her job as a realtor, but when he randomly bumped into her at an izakaya, he empathized with the trace of loneliness and sorrow in her expression. As a minimalist, he doesn't want his house to feel lived in and hence does various neurotic things, such as sticking paper tissues and his TV remote under the table with strong magnets. Every day, he decides whether to keep or throw stuff away. Despite being a minimalist, he often says "it's not like I don't own anything. I have physical copies of the books that leave an impression on me". But that's only as long as they fit within his storage limit. Ishikawa gets immense enjoyment from looking at his simple and clean apartment, but still can't help but think that it's hard to get married like that.
