He is one of the survivors in the group near the school. He is very quiet and usually seen hanging around Kurusu on the bed. According to Kowashi, he is "a cut above the rest" in terms of fighting strength. While appearing female, a scene points to him identifying as male.
In the same scene, he hallucinates the zombie woman that Tomabechi was keeping as a "pet" to observe and experiment on, asking for help and bringing up that she and him had had sex multiple times in the past. The other survivors refer to him using female pronouns, and off-handedly mention that he never trusted them enough to reveal their name. On one occasion, Haruki also refers to him as "tranny".
After zombification, he proves to be a formidable foe that takes three arrows before being temporarily incapacitated, which allows the group an opportunity to escape. He shows up again near the Sunrise office building in Tokyo, where he chases after Hideo.
His family:
It is confirmed that he is Tsugumi's younger brother. At odds with their parents, who wanted him to be girly, he was sent to an all-girls school which he eventually left after a scandal in which he claimed to have gotten a girl pregnant. Since then, him and Tsugumi have drifted apart, mostly because of him having sex with her boyfriend. Tsugumi notes that her brother identifies as bisexual.
