SelimAppears in chapter eight. Selim lived during the 16th century in Istanbul and was the Sultan's favorite son. He became fascinated with Leart, a young boy who was brought in as a slave from the war with Greece, and asked for him to join his harem. Selim was named "Yavuz" ("The Grim") for his ruthlessness in pursuing anything he desired.In exchange for listening to his story, Pamela receives one of the stones from Berial's necklace.
