Wataru UedaUeda Wataru is a 28-year-old high school teacher. He's been a teacher for 6 years. He works hard, even staying late after school to finish his work. He's known to be proud but timid. It was only after high school he realized he was homosexual. He had a crush on a teacher in the Tennis Club when he was still in high school and was turned down when the teacher had confessed his attraction towards him. He was traumatized by the experience ever since. He wears glasses so students won't make fun of his feminine appearance.One of his students, Ippongi Musashi, has been skipping class and is getting away with it because his father is a member of the Yakuza. He keeps in touch with Kazushi, Musashi's father, daily ever since they exchanged personal phone numbers. Wataru personally admires Musashi's fearlessness to skip classes because when he was younger he didn't have the courage to do it himself.
