Anime Relations: Koisuru Asteroid
Among the various Anime released in January 2020, is one of the studios that is fairly solid in its adaptation. Namely, Doga Kobo with his new title "Koisuru Shouwakusei" The thing that made him 'different' from others was not only having a unique storyline, but also in terms of the graphic design that was displayed when it was really 'different'.

It was when we were kids.
"Watashitachi ga kodomo no koro" is the one word that appeared at the beginning of the promotional video of this Koisuru Shouwakusei anime. Koisiru Shouwakusei described a woman named Mira Konohata, who was a student from Hoshizaki High School. Because when she was little, Mira met someone named Ao Manaka, their meeting there when he was little made Mira a little interested in things related to space.

One day, when Mira went to see the club at her school, and coincidentally met with Ao Manaka. After their meeting, starting from here the story of Koisuru Shouwakusei begins ...

Great music.
Music in an Anime is something that cannot be separated. Because this also affects the development of the atmosphere in the story. Koisuru Shouwakusei can be called presenting music that is 'just right' even if in personal opinion this is exceptionally great music. As if this music was made not for the Anime itself, but the Anime follows the music. But everyone's opinions must be different, but the music presented in Koisuru Shouwakusei is very fitting in building the atmosphere and portraying the image of this Anime itself.

Graphic.
This is probably one of the main factors that makes people interested in watching this anime. The illustrations in Koisuru Shouwakusei are very different from the illustrations used in anime in general. Koisuru Shouwakusei is indeed not the first time, but after all this time, flooded with sharing the title of Anime maybe Koisuru Shouwakusei has the most prominent illustration. The background image is no less extraordinary. Maybe this is what is called realistic art. But even though the character's illustration and background are somewhat extraordinary, this is not followed by the expression of each character. Also, the amount of CG that I feel is still lacking to explain the story. So we are required to read the subtitles carefully if we want to understand the situation clearly.

Stepping Forward, Towards Dreams.
"If you have the chance to repeat everything from the beginning, do you choose to stay the way you are, or choose to change even though there is no guarantee that it will work?" asteroids that they find based on their desires. Will Mira and Ao be able to find the asteroid? Actually the possibilities are endless, so hope as high as possible because someday that desire will become a prayer and will come true.

Anime Relations: ReLIFE
Re: LieF ~Shin'ainaru Anata e~ // Re:LieF ~親愛なるあなたへ~

Among the various Visual Novels released in October 2016, is one of the new studios that is fairly unique, and stands out. Namely, RASK with its new title "Re: lieF ~ Shinai Naru Anate e ~" The thing that made it 'different' from others was that not only the title was similar to the Anime "Re: Life", but also in terms of the illustration that was displayed at that time- completely 'different'. After a period of time, it was that difference that earned them the award of the Moege Award for October 2016. What made this new studio get more attention among Visual Novel fans to win it? Check out the following review.

"I want to try it one more time."

"Tameshite Mirunda, Mo Ichido" is the one word that appeared at the beginning of this promotional video from Visual Novel Re: lieF. What exactly is it that tries again? In the beginning of the story, Re: lieF describes a woman named Hahakigi Hinako, who is an ordinary employee at a company. Because of frequent mistakes in his work, Hinako was always scolded by his superiors, basically he felt incompatible with the job because he was careless when looking for work.

One day, when he came home from work he met his senior, and was offered to take part in the "Tryment Project", where Hinako could go back to school, to repeat what she felt had failed in her life.

Hinako New School

Trymet Project

If you know the Anime "Re: LIFE" maybe you think this Tryment Project has the same concept. But apparently not. The Tryment Project does not require participants to take pills to become young again, but is immediately taken to the island of Mikumo, which is an uninhabited island prepared specifically for this project. So there is no possibility of a cellphone or internet signal.

Broadly speaking, this project both has the concept of a 'more' school. But instead of going back to high school to repeat from the start, both the education system to the assignments given were all classmates assignments. Not just the teacher, the classmate, but the classmate professor. Participants here are required to return to 'go to school' for one year to prepare themselves to be ready to return to the 'real world' community.

Mikumo Island

Diverse viewpoints and (actually almost) Full Voiced

One that makes you feel at home playing Re: lieF is the frequent change of perspective from one character to another. The beginning of our story will play the role of Hinako, and we will get to know the main character as well from Hinako's perspective. So that we can know how the face and voice of the main character, but until the middle of the story we will be brought to the point of view of the main character. But this time (strangely) without sound.

Viewpoints as Hinako

Viewpoints as Tsukasa

Likewise if we enter the route of other characters, we will occasionally be taken to the character's point of view. Well (strangely) this time equipped with sound. Unique, but on the other hand sometimes confuse.

Hinako is not the main character

As noted above, you might think that the main character is Hinako. But actually not, the main character named Nitta Tsukasa, who is intelligent in various fields, but has a mysterious side.

We can know how the face and voice of the main character.

Great music

Music in a Visual Novel is something that cannot be separated. Because this also affects the development of the atmosphere in the story. Re: lieF can be called presenting music that is 'just right' even if in your personal opinion this is amazing music. As if this music was made not for the Visual Novel itself, but the Visual Novel follows the music. But everyone's opinions must be different, but the music presented in Re: lieF is very fitting in building the atmosphere and describing the image of this Visual Novel itself.

Graphic

This is probably one of the main factors that makes people interested in playing this Visual Novel. The illustrations in Re: lieF are very different from the illustrations used in Visual Novel in general. Re: lieF is indeed not the first time, because the 'different' illustration is also found in Flowers by Innocent Gray or Sore Yori no Prolog by Minori. But after all this time, flooded with sharing the title of Visual Novel may Re: lieF has the most prominent illustration.

The background image is no less extraordinary. Maybe this is what is called realistic art. But even though the character's illustration and background are somewhat extraordinary, this is not followed by the expression of each character. Also, the amount of CG that I feel is still lacking to explain the story. So we are required to read the text carefully if we want to understand the situation clearly.

Small, contrasting text

In some parts, especially the monologue, there is a lot of writing that contrasts with the background image. That is, the writing is white and the background image is also bright, so it is difficult to read. Plus, the small font size adds to the difficulty of understanding the story in this Visual Novel.

Characters who try to face their ‘weakness’.

Before continuing, we better get to know the character first. (Actually) there are four main characters, but the fourth is written later. A little leak, (first, yes) in the story carried by each character there is one 'goal' of each character to return to find 'new hope' where it was found with Tsukasa. This new hope is a foundation before falling back into society.

Hinako: Looking for who you really are.

The character of Hinako herself may look the most childish of the others. Fainted during the self-introduction session because of his trauma being scolded by his superiors while working first, not too smart, but very considerate. Milha Blanco's roommate (he said) moved from Russia. With Tsukasa he tried to find what was really his desire, what work was suitable for him, and how to be a useful self for the people around him.

Her name is Milya, but actually he is Saki! Who is that?

Ootate Ruka: Know the meaning of defeat

Person who looks mature, and turns out to be a very smart person. His first friend is Hinako and vice versa. His roommate Momo. Of course Ruka loves to study, she can spend hours just reading books about law and legislation. Because maybe too often 'above' he felt very upset when defeated Tsukasa in the exam, therefore with Tsukasa in trying to find what it means to defeat and the beauty of friendship.

Kaizou Momo: Become a stronger person

Small, like an elementary school kid, doesn't like vegetables, but actually he is a famous AI (Aritficial Intelligence) researcher. He has an AI of his own called Toto. Desiring "normal school life" so he invited Tsukasa to together look for the meaning of "normal" life.

Toto (AI) and Momo

Full story

The main reason it took quite a long time to write Re: lieF's review was because the story was intact. Whole does not mean entering any route the story is the same, but the opposite. In Re: lieF, each time we complete one route we will be given an ending that hangs once, is unclear, and so forth.

Not that completing one route does not understand at all, but we certainly feel something is missing. Therefore to know the whole story, we must play all four routes.

Lost Memory, Virtual World, and Artificial Intelligence technology

Re: lieF actually did not fully talk about how the participants of the Tryment Project were to repeat their opportunity before returning to the community.

Even though Tsukasa seems versatile, and his life is calm, he actually has a problem. Namely memory loss. Well this is where the core of the story Re: lieF itself. Here each heroine has a role to solve the mystery one by one.

In the prologue, we will meet a mysterious white-haired girl who says that Tsukasa is actually dead? Why is that? Now that's the mystery. In the Hinako route, we only know that there is a mystery between Tsukasa and Milya.

In the Ruka route, we know that Tsukasa had experienced an event related to blood. And we also know that Tsukasa's mother is a great AI researcher who is the one who made the Tryment Project. And there is a relationship between AI technology and Tsukasa's current existence.

In the Momo route, we will know that there is a project (namely the Tryment Project itself) that creates a virtual world with the help of AI as its supervisor. Then Momo will join the project to do 'something.' Well, it's strange that when Momo Tsukasa left, he met Toto, AI created by Momo.

What really happened?

Toto with Tsukasa awaits the arrival of Momo.

Yuu and Ai

Yes, these two characters have appeared in the prologue, and they are the main key of all the mysteries above. Again, Yuu and Ai were one of the first Aritficial Intelligence to have emotions.

The first AI coded Alpha, named Yuu

Ai is the fourth character that you can play after completing three routes. On this route, all mysteries unfold, as Yuu is the first Aritficial Intelligence created by Futakami Kyouko, mother of Tsukasa, and is the person in charge of the Tryment Project itself. And Ai himself is a copy body from Yuu, but he has very different characteristics from his brother.

The Tryment Project Is Not Just An Ordinary Project

In the Ai route, as a True End, it is certainly longer than other routes, and because I don't want too many spoilers, that's why I wrote the point. This project was created because of the desire of a student named Futakami Kyouko to make virtual friends who can not only talk, but have emotions. Despite the many obstacles he faced, he finally managed to get an award for the results of his hard work.

Because of an incident Tsukasa, his son, had a traffic accident, so he entered a critical period. Wanting to save his only child, Kyouko created a virtual world where Tsukasa might return to life through a kind of 'dream' helped by his AI.

Through this project, Kyouko hopes that Tsukasa, who was once shy, doesn't have, is often bullied, can interact with her new friends, find her true self again, so Tsukasa can "try again", "try once again" to make her life more well.

Stepping Forward, Towards a New World

"If you have the opportunity to repeat everything from the beginning, do you choose to stay as you are now, or choose to change even though there is no guarantee it works?"

Maybe this is what RASK wants to say in "Re: lieF ~ Shinai Naru Anate e ~"
Every human being must have regrets, failures in his life, not everything goes smoothly, but whether he wants to remain stuck in defeat, or try new things, and try more.

Once again, RASK is indeed new, but that does not mean it cannot produce a valuable work. Re: lieF ~ Shinai Naru Anate e ~ is one proof. It's not the best, but I think RASK has succeeded in giving a 'new' wind to Visual Novel fans.

Finally, there are a few quotes from Ai's last words before parting with AI:

There are times when we feel hurt. There are times when we want to run from reality. There are times when we don't want to do anything.

But ...
Even so, we still have to move forward.
We can rest. We may stop.
But we cannot give up.

If you can't get up on your own, ask someone else for help.
If we are already destroyed by our own mistakes, then wait for the right time to get back up.
If you can't invite other people, walk side by side with them.

Everyone must have weaknesses.
It all depends on how we see it.

That is what is called "Life"

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm // 蒼の彼方のフォーリズム

Fly with all your ability to penetrate a limit that has never been known before. That's at least a little value that can be obtained from Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm. How did this Visual Novel break the line by winning the 2014 Moege Award?

How does it feel if flying is as easy as cycling? Of course anyone can fly anywhere without having to bother going to the airport to buy tickets and other long affairs. Especially if we can fly privately, we can go to markets, supermarkets without having to fear traffic. It's fun, right?

At least that is experienced by Hinata Masaya, one of the students on one of the artificial islands where flying can be as easy as cycling and this is Flying Circus, a sporting name that can make friends find happiness and sadness. Kurashina Asuka transfer student from outside the island accidentally met Masaya and that's where Asuka felt how it felt to fly, which had been her dream since childhood.

After getting to know the feeling of flying, Asuka was naturally immediately attracted to Flying Circus, and he asked Masaya to teach him from scratch. Whereas Masaya himself ‘used to’ was a Flying Circus athlete. But for some reason he 'hung shoes' from there. Seeing Asuka's spirit, will Masaya return to fly once more?

Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm will be written next AoKana is the second Visual Novel by Sprite after Koi to Senkyo no Chocolate. As a studio that is not 'too productive', Sprite is fairly total in every work. 'Smooth' character design, strong and unique character traits, and complex storyline. But that also becomes a weapon to eat, sir. Personally, if I don't finish until at least halfway, I'm still confused here and there, starting with the rules in the game Flying Circus, Gravity Shoes (shoes used to be able to fly), to the terms used in Flying Circus sports (like High Yo- Yo, Low Yo-Yo and others). But lucky with the ‘totality’ of Sprites, all of that can be clear with the help of interactive images. Although it is not entirely clear, but at least it is enough to understand the storyline.

In addition, although I have been studying Japanese long enough, yet I feel that the vocabulary I have mastered is still insufficient to understand every monologue, especially discussing the 'special' about Flying Circus.

Switch to character recognition

There are four main characters in this Visual Novel

Kurashina Asuka

Accidentally met with Masaya when he first entered school. Cheerful, enthusiastic and never give up. His favorite animal is the Flying Fish

Tobisawa Misaki

Masaya's classmate, and one of the experienced Flying Circus players. Looks 'slengehan' and doesn't like boring things.

Arisaka Mashiro

First graders, and ‘very sticky’ with Misaki. It sounds noisy and 'tsundere', but actually he's quite a loner. Loves playing games and playing belly sounds with her doll. Oh, yes he is also the son of Udon shop owner.

Ichinose Rika

Masaya's new neighbor attends Takafuji High School. Very familiar with Mashiro after a number of exercises together.

Well, since I did not enter the main route, Asuka (instead stuck with the cuteness of Mashiro), so I can't say much. But certainly AoKana really presents a complex story without having to follow the trend of high school love stories that we usually encounter in Visual Novels in general. If I call it a realistic story style with enough 'seasoning'.

Besides Asuka, the Misaki route is no less good, some even say Misaki is better than Asuka in terms of the storyline. It's all a matter of taste, just choose what you like. I, who entered the Mashiro route, are also quite satisfied with the story, although finally we don't know what secrets are there in Asuka and Misaki

Furthermore, maybe many people already know that AoKana also has Animen adaptation. A total of 12 episodes were released in 2015. Not stopping there, AoKana also got the adaptation of PS Vita, Android and iOS Mobile versions and also PS4. What are you trying?

Unlike the anime adaptation, especially if friends don't enter the main route, Inui Saki, one of the characters who is the strongest enemy in Flying Circus, is not so highlighted. So what? Be happy because AoKana has a sequel. It's called Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm-Zwei-. With Inui Saki as the main heroine. Although it's not certain when it will be released, but for friends who are waiting please be patient.

As mentioned above, that AoKana won the Moege Award in 2014. Beat more than 50 other titles. AoKana can win with a vast difference in points thanks to its varied storylines, according to the opinion of the Moege Award team.

Finally, what actually makes AoKana so hype? Though the story is also quite heavy. It is undeniable that the name Sprite is also one of the triggers, although not much work, their totality in making a work must be recognized. Anime adaptation? Moreover. The name of watching anime is easier than reading Visual Novel, it can be considered as a summary.

For those of you who like Sci-Fi Visual Novels with a spice of romance and story style that is not too 'bragging' this might be one of the best recommendations for you.
