Chihayafuru (manga)
Anime Relations: Chihayafuru
Started reading it in the summer and absolutely loving it so far! The best things about stories that involve a club is that there's an ability to draw comparisons and create metaphors so that you get a richer experience when learning about the characters and moving through experiences in the manga.
The heroine is a clueless one and would totally be a nerd if she weren't so gorgeous - very forgiving because you learn about her motivations early on and it is easy to identify with those thoughts and feelings.
I love that one of the themes is about self-discovery and growth as it, once again, creates a fuller experience when you see the characters go through their trials. It's not just about who confesses to who (although they are INCREDIBLY well placed and definitely made my heart skip a beat) but also where are they going with their lives.
Very excited for more chapters!
