Please note that all that's written below is my opinion, yours may differ of course. :)

Do you know that feeling you get when fall is just around the corner? Let's say that you wake up on a Sunday. One of the first things you see (and hear) are the raindrops slamming against your window and you decide that it's the perfect day to stay inside, make some tea, (or hot chocolate) grab a blanket and watch some anime.
So... What to watch? What's fitting for that rainy Sunday during the fall?
Of course, you can watch everything you want, but a series that takes place during Christmas might be more fun to watch in the winter and show about a vacation will probably be more enjoyable of you watch it... well, during your own vacation.
So, these are some anime that give me a true "fall-feeling". With that, I mean a certain serenity which I find fitting for this time of the year. Something not as happy as a summer-themed show and not as dark as a winter-themed one; something in between, something calming and most likely somethting sad.
Most of these shows have completely aired already, and also most are quite well-known. Still, here is my list of shows to watch as you cover yourself with warm blankets and listen to that gushing rain in the background:

Angel Beats
Anohana
Eve no Jikan
Little Busters
D.N. Angel
Higashi no Eden
Kokoro connect
Log horizon 2 (to air in October 2014)
Pokemon the Origin
Paprika
Steins; gate
Welcome to the NHK
Wolf children Ame and Yuki
